Anyone have any experience with Orthaheel - Kinetic sandals?
Have plantar fasciitis and trying to find a pair of shoes to wear next month to our WDW trip. A lot of people suggested Orthaheel Tide, but I saw these....

Oh boy!! I feel your pain! Literally!:rotfl: I had the surgery to fix it, but I still have pain in other parts of my foot. I know nothing about these, so hopefully we will get some responses!

I decided not to have the surgery, or the shot. Just exercised it and dealt with it. Then I got it in my other foot! But, it's been a year or so since I got it in the second foot and it's going away. I just don't want it to flare up doing all that walking (that I normally don't do)!!

I don't, but I did just order a pair. They seem to have the same or better reviews by quite a few people, and there was a post or two on their site from users who have both sandals, and said these were just as good as the Tides. Sorry I can't help more, but just wanted to chime in my findings.

I don't have the Kinetic, but I have the Tide, Allegre and Lori Flower flipflop. I had plantar fasciitis years ago, but it has gone away. I do have very low arches, and these are the only flipflops I can wear. They are more expensive, but they are worth it. I think I have 4 pairs now.

I haven't tried the kinetic but I have the wave, allegre, and tide. That's all I wear at disney and all summer long. I even have the slippers. I highly recommend their shoes if you have issues with your feet. I don't think you can go wrong with any of their sandals, I would order them.

I also just realized that I have their sneakers, and they feel really good.

Thanks a lot!! All you guys just made me spend $60 on a pair of slippers!!! Our new hard wood floors are killing me....I hope this helps! :) The flip flops are next....

I got a pair a few weeks ago, Orthaheel Tide. I have extremely flat feet and wearing regular flip flops just isn't an option. They are awesome! I'm not sure I will wear them for hours on end in the parks, but they are great! They give me the support in the arch that I needed. I got mine on zappos.com :surfweb: they were about $60 with free shipping. I got the black, I am contemplating another pair in brown.

I have same foot issues and have been wearing ccrocs-the capris, thong ones,...anyone able to compare the comfort(softness of heel) with them? I have been wearing my dif crocs to the parks for sev yrs with no foot pain ut I am due for new ones and some of these look cute.

I ordered a pair of Rykas a few months ago. They were on sale, and I did not realize they had the Fit Flop type sole until I got them. Actually, they are very nice for the heel problems, and if you have toe problems too. You strike the padded section in the middle of your foot, so your heels don't take the impact.

I just went to the foot doctor and brought with me all my shoes to talk to him about why my feet were hurting so bad again. When I pulled out my orthaheel flip flops he rolled his eyes. He said for any extended period of walking or standing no flip flip is good, even the ones that claim to have arch supports. he said they were fine if we are just going down to the pool or around the house. He advised me not to wear them in Disney (I went specifically so I could get my foot issue solved before our Sept 9th trip). He said sneakers are always best and Merrell are the best. I love my orthaheels around the house but even when I walk the dog for too long in them my feet hurt the next day. just my two cents!

I will definitely be wearing my sneakers for 90% of my trip. But the orthaheels have changed my life for just around the house or quick trips to the store.

I too have plantar fasciitis. I have the Orthoheel Tide and Waves and love them. I always carry at least one pair to WDW. My favorites flips since I developed PF though are the OluKai Ohanas and Skecher Glam Punk Tone Ups.

AUBRIEE: I have been meaning to THANK YOU for weeks now. Because I read one of your posts, I recently ordered the OluKai Ohanas. I also ordered a pair of Orthoheel Wave and the Sole sport flip flop. I did a one week test in the house with all the three and the Ohanas blew them all away!!!! So last weekend, I wore them to a long walking weekend at Hershey Park. They were amazing!! I have scoliosis and flat feet and most flip flops are off limits for me. So thank you thank you thank you!!
I got the bronze ones and they are super cute. I already ordered another pair.

To the OP, you might want to try the Ohanas. I felt like the arch support was there but not as pronounced feeling as the Orthoheels.

Glad you like them! It's funny though: You say you have flat feet. I have high arches, but the OluKai Ohanas work for both of us. I have the OluKai Ohanas in white/ java brown and also in solid black. I also have the OluKai Kumu in gold, but don't like them near as much. It may be because of the Kumu's stitching on the foot bed, but they are just not as comfortable as the Ohanas. I adore my OluKai's Ohanas though and can wear them all day with no problem. I love my Orthoheels Tides and Waves, but adore my OluKai Ohanas.

At the beginning of the summer I bought a pair of Volatile Keralees that I'm loving too. They may be even more comfortable than my beloved OluKai Ohanas. I don't care for the other Volatile flip flops, but love the comfort of the Keralees. You might want to give them a try if you can find a pair. Here's a picture:

I ended up getting and wearing the Kinetic's and after the first full day, I got a blister on the BOTTOM (the ball) of my foot!!! Who gets one there?!?! They are very comfortable though! I'm guessing because the sole is kind of rubbery?? I also took a pair of Taos flip flops and my tennis shoes that were fitted for me....I survived but boy were my feet sore every night!!!
