For our countdown I use those paint chip mickey heads too.... i add the numbers as pictured...
But everyday I hide one like a hidden mickey to be found with the corresponding #. (Did I mention I do this for my 40 something yr old hubby?)
It gets to be pretty funny, because if too much of the day has gone by and he hasn't found it he usually says "hey, I haven't found my hidden mickey yet"
Some of the hiding places in the past have been:
-in his sandwich
-folded up in his napkin in his lunch
-under dinner plate
-taped to bathroom mirror
-taped to rearview mirror
-in the shower
-but my all time favorite was the lid of the toilet seat..when he flipped it up to pee he almost pee'd on mickey
Its alot of fun, and with kids would be so much more!
I also purchased a countdown clock (the kind people have for retirement, or when babies are due). They make a blank one and I used some scrapbooking stickers/paper to decorate it. I program it and put it on the kitchen windowsill it counts down the days, minutes, seconds, etc.
Then, I take the disney paper off it and put caribbean type stuff on it for our other vacations..
