I am looking for yummy fudge recipes with nuts.:cool1::cool1:
I want to make different types for fudge for dd to give to teachers and also for the holidays.

I only use the recipe that is on the marshmallow stuff in the jar. (Sorry, I can't think right now)

Rachel Ray 5 min fudge - I use her basic recipe - and tweak it - I dont like butterscotch chips - just double the semi sweet chips - I dont like... most dried fruits - so I just dont include them - DS and his DW dont like nuts or fruit - so I make it plain for them - it all works perfectly!!

and if its not christmas time - I dont make the wreath - just spread it in a pan! viola!!

RACHEL RAY'S FIVE MINUTE FUDGE

1 (12-ounce) bag semisweet chocolate morsels
9 ounces (3/4 of a 12-ounce bag) butterscotch morsels
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (8-ounce) can walnut halves
1/2 cup (a couple of handfuls) currants

8-inch cake pan, lightly greased with softened butter
Candied cherries, red and green, for garnish, optional

Place a heavy pot on the stove and preheat it over low heat. Add chips and milk and stir until chips are melted and milk combined. Save the empty condensed milk can. Stir in vanilla and remove fudge from heat. Add nuts and currants and stir in immediately.

To make a Chocolate Wreath for Christmas, Cover empty condensed milk can with plastic food wrap and center it in the greased cake pan. Spoon fudge into pan around can, making sure to re-center can if it drifts.

The fudge will set up almost immediately. Garnish can only be added in the first minute or 2 the fudge is in the pan, so work quickly. Decorate your wreath with "holly" made from cut candied red and green cherries. A wreath left plain can be garnished with a pretty fabric bow when serving. Chill covered in the refrigerator and slice fudge very thin when ready to serve, a little goes a long way.

You can also just drop this in "dobbles" on a cookie sheet for individual candies.. Also, can change the recipe and with the chocolates add:

Peanuts and raisins

Nuts and dried apricots (chopped)

Use white chocolate and add candied fruits and nuts

Macadamia nuts and coconut

Just use your imagination ..and dark or white chocolate

SO easy....No more cooking until a drop hardens in cold water...

Me, too! It's really easy. It always comes out great. The recipe is on the jar, but here it is:

FLUFFERNUTTER CHOCOLATE FUDGE

Line an 8-inch square pan with aluminum foil (or use a disposable 8-inch square aluminum foil pan).

Combine in a medium saucepan:
1 jar (5 to 10 ounce) marshmallow cream
1 ½ cups sugar
2/3 cup evaporated milk
½ stick (1/4 cup) butter

Bring to full rolling boil, stirring constantly over medium heat.

Then boil for 5 minutes over medium heat, stirring constantly.

Remove from heat.

Add a 12-ounce package of semi-sweet chocolate morsels.

Stir constantly until morsels melt and mixture is smooth.

Add 1 teaspoon vanilla.

Pour into pan.

Chill in fridge until firm (about 2 hours).

We make it this way too. We also substitute peanut butter for the chocolate. Soooo good!:woohoo:

I only like the old fashioned kind of fudge-boiled, no marshmallow cream or sweetened condensed milk or peanut butter. I have made this recipe and it is wonderful, only the chocolate version.

Mackinaw Island Fudge

1/2 cup milk

1/2 cup butter

1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/8 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups confectioners’ sugar

1/2 cup nuts (optional)

Mix milk, butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar and salt in heavy pan. Cook at medium heat until boiling. Boil exactly 6 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add vanilla extract and confectioners’ sugar. Beat with mixer until smooth and thick. Add nuts, if desired. Pour into a buttered pan and freeze 20 minutes. Cut into pieces.

Makes approximately 1 pound of fudge.

Peanut Butter Mackinac Island Fudge
Reduce butter to 1/4 cup and add 1/2 cup peanut butter.

Chocolate Mackinac Island Fudge
Use basic recipe, adding 1/2 cup cocoa with the confectioners’ sugar.

Me too! Someone brought it to a party and we all raved about it. :thumbsup2

There are also some really super simple fudge recipes here on this thread below. Some are just 2-3 ingredients.
Quick & Easy Christmas treats - scroll down page 53 to compiled list.

There are also many holiday treat recipes on there that are really simple. The chocolate covered popcorn is one of them. Also the Oreo truffle balls are good. :cool1:

Here is the only recipe I've used. Simple, and can be made different by using different kinds of chips. My favorite is semi-sweet chocolate with Skor toffee bits in it.

Ingredients:
•3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
•1 14-oz can condensed milk
•1/4 cup (4 tbsp) butter
•1 tsp vanilla extract
•1/4 tsp salt
Preparation:
1. Prepare an 8x8 pan by lining it with aluminum foil and spraying the foil with nonstick cooking spray.

2. In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips, condensed milk, and butter. Microwave in one-minute increments until melted, about 2-3 minutes.

3. Stir to ensure all the chocolate is melted, then add the vanilla and salt. Stir until the candy is smooth and well-mixed.

4. Pour the fudge into the prepared pan and smooth it into an even layer. If you want to add nuts, dried fruit or other flavored chips this is the time to add them.

5. Place the fudge in the refrigerator to set for at least 2 hours. Once set, cut into 1-inch squares and serve at room temperature. Store excess fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

This makes a huge pan, enough to share with family & friends!

What great recipes!!!!!!!

I always always wanted to try to make fudge but never did. I am going to try some of these recipes tomorrow. I do not want to use condensed milk but more original types. I definitly will try the marshmallow one that everyone is raving about:cool1::cool1:

Thank you

I must have done something wrong with this recipe. I tried it last Christmas and it was awful - hard as a rock. I made the wreath so it looked pretty, but I ended up throwing it out because no one would eat it. I went back to the marshmallow fluff recipe.

The easiest fudge I've ever made is the recipie on the inside of the Baker's Semi-Sweet chocolate squares box. Takes 4 minutes to make, 2 hours to chill. And you don't need to cook anything...it's all microwave.

2 boxes Bakers semi-sweet chocolate squares
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
2 tsp vanilla
1 C nuts (or mini M&Ms, marshmallows, toffee bits)

Melt together in a large glass bowl the chocolate squares and the condensed milk for 2 minutes on high in microwave. Stir. If not all melted, back in the microwave for another 30 seconds.

Stir in the vanilla and the nuts (or whatever) and pour into a foil-lined 8x8 dish. Leave it in the fridge for a couple of hours.

This sounds really good but I'm a little confused. Do you boil the milk mixture for 11 minutes?? Or bring to boil and slow simmer for 11 minutes?? :confused3

about the Baileys Fudge.....

I bring it to a boil, then reduce the heat & simmer for 11 minutes. You don't want to boil it for 11 minutes. Sorry for the confusion. It's so creamy & yummy!

This is great! I had a really yummy fudge one and lost it...I think some of these will do the trick!

Thank you so much. Its not you I should have known. The Baileys fudge sounds awesome.

I have no problems - but then I dont add anything but semi sweet chocolate chips!!

I actually have a secret family fudge recipe that ds makes every year - I find it expensive, it calls for a Hershey Chocolate Bar, as well as chips, and I think 20 marshmellows... I'm in the basement and I'm too lazy to get up find it and then type it out -

but if anyone is really interested I'll find it and post it! It is a no fail fudge, I think because its marshmellows, and not fluff it is better! ;) (this is said in a fun, teasing way - no worries)
but its time consuming... and expensive (chocolate is expensive)

Super easy Fudge for those who cannot cook-

1 can frosting (any flavor, NOT the whipped kind)
1 bag chips (chocolate, peanutbutter, buttersctotch, ect.)
add-ins if wanted

Melt chips in microwave in 30 sec. intervals until melted. Melt frosting for 25-30 sec. in microwave. Mix both with whatever add-ins (nuts, candies, etc). Put into a flat dish (spray with Pam). Let it sit up for about 30 min. in fridge, enjoy.
