Finally some waterproof, digital cameras are coming out on the market. I would like to buy one that would be fine for surface snorkeling, (WP to 1 meter),rain proof and splash proof. On our recent trip to WDW, I did not bring my digital to the waterparks but relied on the Fugi waterproof disposables. I know that Pentax makes one but the down side seems to be that it has no view finder, just the screen. Sony also makes one as well.

No...but we just bought an underwater casing for our digicam to take the Bahamas with us in the fall!

maybe look into that? instead of having a separate digicam?

I had considered that but I don't want another piece of equipment to carry. I am a surface snorkeler so 3 ft below the surface would be fine for me. DH dives but he isn't a big picture taker. I have the Kodak Easy Share and my big pet peeve with it? The lens cap. I hate lens caps. I would rather have a clam shell type closure instead of a lens cap that constantly falls off.
