Anyone have a Tempurpedic mattress

Yikes, the taxes on that would be over $1,110 here. But it probably is a good sleep.

I was reluctant to buy another Temperpedic but agreed to if we could get the Cool Breeze and the Split King so I could raise my side up while my DHs side could lay flat.

I have to say, I've never had better sleep! So it was worth the money. The cool gel Temperpedic pillows are fantastic as well!

What temperature do you need to keep the bedroom for the beds to feel as they should. In the showroom which I imagine was cool the contour elite and contour supreme were quite firm, at home not firm at all.
Suggestions?

We bought one in 2007. Was great for two years then caused both of us terrible back pain. After flipping and rotating as recommended we ended up replacing it with a Beautyrest (coil not foam).

We haven't bought a mattress in 20 years and are just beginning to look. We went to mattress firm yesterday and saw a Contour Elite Breeze split king. Imagine my surprise at thr $7000 price tag just for the mattress. I came home and read a bunch of reviews ranging from sagging and mold to chemical odors. Others swear by the bed.

I don't know anyone that has one but for that kind of money I would expect it to hold up a very long time. Anyone with personal experience?

We bought our temperpedic mattress 15 years ago, and it is still like new. It’s like sleeping on a cloud. I find it very difficult to sleep on any other mattress. Traveling is definitely a problem for us because we are spoiled at home.

No clue the model. We still have it, just in the guest room.

You might want to look at a latex mattress. I have a natural "talalay" latex mattress and I love it. No issues with being too hot or off gassing, and it sort of molds to your body after laying on it a bit. Can be expensive, but there's a place in AZ that makes them and ships. We paid under $1200 for a queen with extra padding.

I went latex over a year ago from a small independent mattress factory in my area(I tried everything else and sleep in a very cold room so memory foam wasn't going to work). I LOVE IT! I do have an extra "layer" of cushion on it, but no springs to create pressure points, which is awesome.

I have the room cooler now and I am starting to like it. If I keep it I hope it holds up well!

Allergic to latex so that is not an option

We bought one a couple years ago. Don't remember the model but was about 5000. DH really wanted one but I was concerned about it being too hot. It took me a few months to get used to it but I love it now.

Thing is , it’s supposed to be a medium firm and it felt quite firm in the store even after laying on it about half an hour. The one they delivered to me doesn’t feel the same
