Anyone have a tempur-pedic bed?

I need to buy a new bed and I am thinking about a tempur-pedic. Does anyone have one? Do you like it? Any tips on what model to get (or not get)? Is there anyway to get a good price on these?

I dont have the bed but I do have a memory foam mattress pad that is 3 inches thick and I love it ... it truly does make the bed much more comfortable.I would go to the stores that carry them and try one out. They seem awfully expensive.

A pillow is 100-200 dollars. Why don't you try that out first? They are so expensive!

We went to try out a temperpedic bed and my dh didn't like the feel of the mattress. I called my sister in law who owns one and she told me that they are having problems with a yucky smell from the mattress. I was confused because I didn't realize that the mattress could have a smell.

We went with a select comfort mattress system instead. HTHs

We have the Bodi-Pedic which is the same thing, they are both visco elastic memory foam. We bought ours from QVC and I have to say, I LOVE IT!!!!

We have the pillow top version and I hate to get out of bed because it is so comfortable. I have a broken disc in my back and I used to wake up in pain every single morning. I also used to also be a very restless sleeper, waking up several times a night and constantly shifting positions. Now, I sometimes wake up in the morning in the exact same position I fell asleep in.

It has really been a Godsend for me, and my husband loves it as well. Our mattress has no kind of smell whatsoever, but I did buy a memory foam pillow at Kohls that had a funny smell so I returned it.

It is, however, a very thick and tall mattress, so it took a little getting used to getting in and out of it.

I love the mattress, but HATED the pillow. Go figure.

Do your research before trying one of these. Lots of people are allergic to the smell (I am) but some find it not a problem.

I would try the pad before investing in the mattress. The price is ridiculous now because the demand is high. I'm willing to bet it will go down in time.

I bought a tempur-pedic but it's not under that name...still a memory foam though and I love, love, love my bed. You never have to flip it you just turn it and mine is so comfie.
