Anyone have a Sit n Stand type stroller?

If so, do you like it? Does it fold up small? How does it steer?

I'm thinking I'm going to buy one for our trip to Disney next week (nothing like waiting until the last minute right?!). I just can't see lugging my huge Zooper Tango on and off the buses. Plus, I paid $400 for the Tango. I'd hate for it to get stolen.

Any suggestions?

We have a Baby Trend sit to stand stroller that we bought at Target. I love the stroller and used it at Disney this last trip. If we had to do it again we would probably just take two umbrella strollers. It steers great. As far as folding up small, it's a double stroller so I don't know what your defintion of small would be. It folded up really easy but just found it to be a pain bringing on and off the buses.

If you are looking to buy a sit to stand I would recomend the Baby Trend from Target.

We have a Joovy Caboose that we used in July. It was very easy to steer and light. We didn't use the buses, so I am no help there.

I picked up a Fisher Price one at Big Lots just for our trip to Disney last year. It was only $99 so I figured that was better than renting for a week. Loved it! DD4 can not only stand but there is also a little seat so she can sit backwards and when she is not on it you have the option of opening a large netted storage area. My girls were 3.5 and 1 when we went and DD3.5 did not ride much but it was nice to have the option. Ours wasn't so light, or so my husband says, but fit on the buses okay and it did steer very nicely. Anything was better than my big double stroller!

We have the Fisher Price Sit and Stand stroller. We hate it! I am actually planning on bringing it to a local consignment shop this weekend to try and get rid of it! The thing never steers correctly and is just a lot more bulky than my double stroller. I would never, never bring to the Disney World. I can't even take it for a walk through my neighborhood.

I second the Baby Trend Sit-N-Stand from Target. It is even sturdy enough to have a child sit on the small back seat AND a child stand on the step in back, besides the child in the front seat.

I think the Sit N Stand is very nice. I bought one for my trip in Sep 07. They fold up relatively small for a large stroller but they are still pretty heavy to be lugging up the bus steps. If you have one person to take care of the stroller and the other person can take care of all the kids, it works great. The steering is pretty good also. All three of the kids rode on it at times and it held up great. I have the Baby Trend brand.

Now I only have one that needs a stroller.:yay:

I just ordered the Baby Trend from Walmart for our February trip. If you aren't picky about color - they have one for $89 + $.97 shipping.

A friend offered hers, but I fear what the airlines will do to it.

do any of you know if one of these sit and stands will hold a girl who may be around 58-60lbs by the time we go this september??? I dont wanna take my double stroller back. We took it for the past two years and my DH and I HATE taking it on the buses. She will be 6 and we have already told her that she would have to walk this year, but what if she gets tired.....the mommy comes out....and she may want to sit for a few minutes.....Just a thought. I know most of them say the weight limit is 40lbs.....

Our daughter was about that size when we used it. Our son was about 2 1/2 and sat in the front. It worked fine. We had the Baby Trend from Target. I think the combined weight for the stroller was 90 lbs. The only thing is, it is a little harder to push with more weight in the back. But, it worked well for us and my hubby handled it fine on the buses.

Yes, We went for 2 trips in one year and bought a Sit n Stand specifically for them. DS1 was 5 and 6 for the trips and DS2 was 18 mos and 2 1/2. DS 1 was (still is) a big kid and weighed over 60lbs for each trip. I got the stoller 2nd hand and just wanted it to last the 2 trips (10 days each) It did fine.

It would get quite heavy pushing it up inclines with the 2 of them in it. DS1 had to get out and walk for the hills, like getting up to the monorail outside of MK.

I found the Sit n Stand for 50% off at Target. I think it ended up being about $60-$65. I have a DS5 and a DS2 and know that I will need some type of stroller for my oldest.

We tried this stroller in the store and it seemed ok, but I'm not sure we are going to keep it. The front seat does not seem that comfortable. We are trying to decide between using the Sit n Stand or taking our full size Combi and Volo.

I have a baby trend sit and stand. We got it for our Disney trip last year and it worked GREAT! We used the busses for our whole trip and it went fine. It is a pain getting it off and on the busses but it is on the smaller side for a double. Just have it folded and ready to get on the bus. There are a few busses with rows of seats in the front instead of just seats along the sides, those busses were a PITA but they were for anyone with a stroller. We will probably take two umbrella strollers next time. Our littlest was only 7mo last eyar so a umbrella would not worked for him.

We have the Joovy Caboose and really like it.
DD2 is very tall for her age and fits just fine up front. DD5 is VERY tall and weighs 50 lbs and she fits fine on the back. It is hard to push uphill with both of them. DD5 doesnt ride unless she is very tired so we will push long enough for her to rest. We got the stroller just for Disney.
My big problem with it though is there is not enough room for all my stuff I like to take along. The small compartment on the bottom will not fit my bag and change of clothes and all those crazy things I feel I cant live without.

Does anyone have a "specific" model that you have purchased. I just went on Target.com- and there are a few of them... I would need one that holds up to 100 pounds (6 yr old and 18 month old).

Thanks..

We have the Joovy Ultra Lite Sit'n Stand. We used it in Aug 08 at WDW. But it was heavy to carry up and down the buses. Don't know if we bring it again on our next trip Aug '09. I have DS5 and DD3. Thinking about just bringing one umbrella stroller instead.

Another option is to rent one; orlandostrollerrentals.com rents a sit and stand. I've used them for a double stroller and tehe owner is great, and so are her strollers. Brand new, and great customer service.
