Does anyone have a recipe for a low calorie spinach dip, or a recipe that could be adapted to make one (such as using low fat sour cream instead of "full strength")?

All of the sudden, I have a craving for spinach dip.

It's my regular one but once substituted low cal sour cream and nobody noticed!LOL

1 pkg. Liptons 7 Veg soup mix.
1 pkg. chopped Spinach, thawed and water squished out of it.
1 tbls. Miracle Whip
Dash of onion powder, garlic powder and fresh ground pepper
1 container of low cal sour cream.

Mix together, let stand for a couple of hours then enjoy!

Sometimes I chop fresh green onions for added flavour!

Hope you like it!

Yum! Thank you!!

I'd probably substitute low-fat mayonnaise as well. Can't wait to make this.

I've used this as a basic dip for a long time

1 8 oz container non-fat plain yogurt
1 8 oz container fat free sour cream (or low fat)
1 packet of Hidden Valley Ranch powder mix
1 package frozen spinach, thawed and drained - then patted dry

I do the spinach first, allowing it to drain for a while in my colander, then pat it dry - mix the yogurt, sour cream and powder well, then fold in the spinach.

I love this dip! Never thought to make it low cal -- thanks for sharing it.
