Anyone have a portable navigation system?

I'd like to get one of these for Dh for father's day. He does a lot of traveling and the company he works for just switched rental agreements from Hertz to National (I think). He could get a navigation system in the Hertz cars but not the National cars so I'd like to get him a portable system. I've done a good bit of research and like the Garmin 2720 but was wondering if anyone has first had experience with this nifty little devices.

I'm going to resurrect this thread for you that got pushed down to about page 5.

If you're talking about a global positioning system...DH got me one last year. It's great. I don't have any idea how to use it though. When we need to go to an unfamiliar place, I give DD11 the address, she programs it in, & off we go!!

It talks to me, tells me when to turn, how many miles to go, etc. Love it!!

But then, when DD11 is not in the car, I get totally lost!!
