DH & I are ready for new phones and want to stay with verizon, so we're thinking about the motorola droid. Anyone have it? Love it? Hate it? Can I get the official disneyworld wait time app with it (see my priorities for buying a phone? haha)

We have the Motorola droid and LOVE it. I have the iPhone with ATT for work and I HATE it.

GET THE DROID!!!!!

Everyone that I have spoken to, and every review I have read LOVES the droid.

I'm w/ ATT, and their droid phone comes out next week. I have never ever had phone envy, but I really really want one:lovestruc

DS17 has the Droid and he loves it. I don't know about the Disney app though.

I just got the Droid last week...LOVE IT!!!! So easy to use, apps are great, excellent phone service- again I LOVE IT!! I wanted the iPhone, but didn't want to switch to AT&T. The only thing I don't like is that I can't sync my iCal to the phone, so I still carry my iTouch with my music, calendar, stuff like that which syncs to my macbook. I wish I could get it down to just one device, but until Verizon gets the iPhone, that won't happen.

I love my Droid! Unfortunately the official Disney app is not yet available for it, but supposedly it might be at some point.

My dh has this phone and he loves it a lot!!! My dd and i have the other droid (the smaller one that doesn't have the slide out keyboard..and we love it as well great phone. :thumbsup2

Do you know if there are other similar apps for Disney that work with the Droid?

I haven't found any yet. The mobile Disney website does work on the Droid, so you can see park hours and general information but no wait times or fastpass return times.

I'm thinking of getting a Droid or iphone too. The WDW app is one I would really want too - you are not alone. Thanks for sharing. I'm leaning toward a droid anyway.

I want one but I'm not due for a discounted phone till next spring. I almost bought a new one on eBay last week for $100 less than Verizon wants for one mid contract, but decided to wait.

I just saw the unofficial guide has an Android app now. Looks very promising - has anyone tried it yet?

where can you go to see the apps? I'm getting one this week, and can't seem to find anything about them.

I just got the Droid Eris phone. So far I love it. The only issue I'm having is it's not recognizing custom ringtones to select. Several of my friends have the iPhone but the only way I'd be able to get one without going on Ebay and getting a VERY EXPENSIVE "unlocked" phone.

The Android Market site only lists a few apps; you won't see the entire list until you get the phone and search the Market thru it.

DH & I actually ended up getting the droid. Love it so far, just a couple questions.
1. does anyone know if you can do a 'type ahead' in the 'to' field for texting, or is there a search for contacts there? So far I can only text from the contacts if I dont know their number.
2. how often do you charge your phone? One thing I loved about my old boring phone, I charged it once a week or two. Now, its daily.
