Last year we used a sit and stand for a one year old and a 5 year old. Sit and stand worked, but is kind of heavy an awkward.

This year we were thinking of a single stroller for the now 2 yr old. If the 6 year gets tired, he can jump in the stroller and 2 yr old can sit on grandpa's lap. He uses a wheelchair.

But there is going to be an addition to the family in July. And I'm still not sure the 6 year won't need a stroller more than now and again. So I'm looking at a Joovy double umbrella stroller. Two big points, the weight limit is up to 50 lbs per child and the seat lays almost flat for newborns. I'm thinking use it for disney and then be ready for baby in July. When going to mall, they will still need a stroller for the 2 year old and the baby.

Any thoughts? Thank you

About 50 people have viewed this thread and not one comment. I guess no one has this stroller. Now I wonder if this is a new stroller.

Hi. I only have 1 child but am following along incase I ever need a double. I painstaking searching and studied before buying my uppababy so I feel your pain. Do you have the opportunity to try them out at any stores? No one in my area sells speciality strollers so I read a lot of reviews and tried to remember that 3/4 if the reviews are biased as the products are typically sponsored by the companies . Everyone on here is so helpful that I'm sure someone will be able to help. As you know just remember that what works well for one may not be what you need.
Congrats on baby #3

Well, it grandchild #7 , but thankyou.

We have at our house, a sit and stand, and a single stroller (not high end anything, but not umbrella) DDIL has a huge single stroller/carseat compo thing. A single stroller similar to our's and a cheapy umbrella she prefers for the mall. Thinking of disney for now, but in real life she will need something to take for trips to parks, mall, playdates, etc that doesn't take up half the car and it good for newborns.

I have the joovy scooter double and I LOVE it. It's light and easy to fold and there's a lot of storage on the bottom. it's also reasonably priced at around $200. I recommend it to everyone!

Can I ask a few thousand questions???? Have you taken it to disney? How is it on buses.? The part of the seat that you raise for an infant.....can an older child sit with it in the up position? I'm thinking it would make a deeper seat for an older child. For the 6 year old, I'm not too concern of comfort, but just someplace to rest for short periods. I'm sure he will be slightly squish in the seat, but hey, sitting down is sitting down. How many times at disney, have we've been happy to sit on a lumpy rock, just to rest for a few mins?

Right now it's on sale at Target for $157. Cheapest I've seen, so I'm wondering if I should jump on it, even though trip isn't for a few months.

I haven't used it for Disney because we're going for the first time in just a few days! I definitely would though (we're renting through kingdom strollers). I've used it at local amusement parks and have been very happy with it. It's very easy to fold. Yes, you can recline just one side. That's a great price, I would jump on it!

My kids are past stroller age but I am thinking your 6 yo will still want a break.

The first time we went with 3 kids they were 2 1/2, 4/almost 5 and 7. I got thr joovy sit and stand for the mall, etc.. for my younger 2. But Disney, all 3 rode that thing. Yes my 7 and 4 yo sat or stood in the back. Luckily they both weighed a combined weight of no more then 70 lbs! My DH pushed that thing and the worst was Epcot where there is an upward hill headed to Mexico. Oh did it squeak.

I would probably just get the double because you will need it.

Hi! I don't have the Twin Groove ... but I own THREE Joovy strollers: Single Groove, Zoom (Jogging stroller) and Scooter X2 (double). :)

We took the single Groove to Disney World in 2015, and it was PERFECT for our then-4-year-old daughter. It was lightweight and compact, yet durable. We have since purchased the Zoom to run with our 14-month-old son. It's been great, but it's probably too big for Disney.

Since we appreciated Joovy's durability and quality with those two strollers, I purchased the X2 on black Friday, in anticipation of our upcoming trip to Disney in September this year. I only paid $150, which is a friggin' steal for any quality double stroller in my opinion.

Now, because it's winter, I've only got to take the X2 out for one "test drive." My 6-year-old (who is sorta tall/big for her age), actually fit pretty comfortably, and my 14-mont-old was of course super comfortable. With both kids in the stroller, it was definitely harder to maneuver, but not too bad. Like you, I don't think my older child will be in the stroller all the time at Disney, but I want to give her an option to rest.

I will say the X2 is easy to fold but not very compact ... So I'm not looking forward to getting it on and off the buses (then again, my husband will probably be the one doing that most of the time)! I say you can't go wrong with any Joovy stroller though - they are definitely built to last and designed with comfort (for kids and parents!) and quality in mind.

Thank you for all the responses.

My DD has a City GT Mini. It rides like a dream but it's big and I almost hurt myself opening it. And I know my DDIL would like something to fit into the car easily.

I think I'll go ahead and order it.
