I know what DD's is!

It's when we had Lunch with a Animator! I had specifically asked for Mr. Sam Ewing. He is the animator who originally drew Stitch! We also had lunch with Irma, who was the original Colorist for Brother Bear.

We received personalized menus and commemorative plates which we both had signed by them both. Mr. Ewing did something extra special for Tanya and still to this day she fondly remembers this experience.

Wish they would bring this back to MGM but alas just after our wonderful lunch, they canned the entire department! :furious:

Yes, and it's something that's used at our house everyday. I wish I had more of them.

Years ago, I bought 2 wine goblets - one blue and one light green. They have the typical hidden Mickey's designed etched in them. The fantastic thing about them is that they aren't made of glass so they don't get scratched or even broken :woohoo: . The stems and base looks like brushed metal.

I'm not a wine drinker so instead I use them for everyday use or any sort...water, milk, juice, pop, beer, etc!!!

This November trip, I definitely plan to get more of them. I hope they have them in different colors as I plan to stock up!

Anyone else?

beach towels.

On both family trips to Florida in the 70's which included the Magic Kingdom, we got new beach towels. My Dsis and I had a girls trip in the 90's and again had to have new beach towels. DH had never been past New York State so on our Honeymoon I insisted we get towels. On our most recent trip I was going to ensure DD got a new towel (by way of a Tinkerbell gift on the morning of our flight) but skip our towels to save some $$. DH wouldn't hear of it & as soon as we checked in & got some lunch he was off to the souvenir shop to get us towels. For me that is such a romantic memory :cloud9: ...(and not that long ago! ;) )

My DDs love their Mr.Potato Head with Disney parts, as well as their My Little Ponies with princess outfits -- both from the toy store in Downtown Disney. I love the fact that these "souvenirs" last for years and get a lot of play out of them -- as well as being a fun memory of stuffing the boxes and choosing the bits.

On our next trip to DL, we're going to the Build-a-Bear to get souvenirs for my DDs. They're already checking out the websites and making mental lists of what they'd like. Even though we have these stores in Toronto, they're still waiting patiently to do it a la Disney :goodvibes

* Autograph Books
* Resort Mugs
* Pins
* Lanyards
* Water holder strap

My recipe book. Its called "Cooking With Mickey and the Chefs of Walt Disney World Resorts". It has the most requested recipes from different resorts, and restaurants throughout the "world". Its awesome. My DH and DD love everything I've made from it so far. Some real winners to try - Flame Tree BBQ sauce, Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup, Mickey Mouse Pancakes, and Waffles. I'm dying to try the Brie and Oyster soup, but its not a great summer meal. We found it in a home decor store in Downtown Disney. Its like eating there over, and over again .... *drool*. (You can also get it at the Disney welcome centre when you first enter Fla. on I75.)

Okay - it's just my little thing - I find a different pen!
I use it everyday for work and that keeps me remembering our trip and looking forward to the next. My current pen is Jack from Nightmare before Christmas.
My kids get a new autograph book and a few pins.
My sister always gets a new plush toy - the 9inch size - she now has a little collection - Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Donald and she'll be adding Daisy if she can find her on the next trip - oh, and only the simple version - no Mickey Skywalker or Minnie Claus!

My favourite and most-used souvenir is a bottle opener shaped like Mickey. And a wine topper also shaped like Mickey. My goal for my upcoming trip is to get the matching Mickey corkscrew.

And I love my refillable mugs too. I use them a lot when I'm missing my favourite resorts!

I like the idea of picking up a pen or two so you can remember your trip while doing the mundane daily stuff.

I love my Pooh mug. I use in every morning for my tea. I love it so much I am going to buy another one in case this one breaks!

My daughter likes to buy a beach towel. She has Sorcerer Mickey and one from Blizzard Beach with a cool snowflake design on it. She is looking forward to getting another one soon!

As you can see we are a practical pair! :rotfl:

12 more days to WDW!!!!! :banana:

Fridge magnets - the clip kind. They have the year we visited on it and they are handy to have!
Pretty simple, eh?

Our #1 fav souvie is the white Mickey T-shirts both boys had signed (with fabric markers) by all their fav characters - they both constantly wear them and we have plans to do it again in October!

I also buy a new mug for my tea every time we go and a new watch. Dh and the boys get new hats each time!

I always try to get a polo shirt. In the past I've picked up some nice ones with small, embroidered WDW-related logos, but this past trip I was really disappointed by the selection. It's the first time in the past 8 trips I didn't come home with a new shirt. :furious:

Maybe I'm just getting really hard to please in my old age. :eek:

DH and I bought that book on our honeymoon, isn't it GREAT??? We use it ALL the time! :thumbsup2

My favourite souvenir (I hope DCL counts) is the dessert menu that our server from Animator's Palette gave us. Growing up, I always wanted to be an animator for Disney and I sketch Disney characters to this day, so that restaurant holds a very special place in my heart. :)

I found the same thing last February. We wanted to each get a Mickey Mouse t-shirt (with the year if we could) but they were inpossible to find. I managed to pick a couple for the kids, my husband found a retro looking tshirt (all reasonable prices for disney - the kids were less than $20, hubbies was less than $30). But I couldn't find anything for less than $50 and the majority of those had rhinestones and sequins. Not something I was willing to pay that much money for - I ended up with a mug!

Oh my gosh, too many to list!

I've made the Chedder Cheese soup several times now. It's SOOOO good! I make the Key Lime Pie ALL the time (it's SO easy).

For me its a new Christmas ornament.

For DH it would be a new mug.

The kids love the pins.

I know, I always make it when we have people over. They they're always so impressed. Have you tried the oyster brie soup? Is it hard?

My Mickey Mouse head with Canadian Flag and also the Antenna Canadian Mickey for my car. ( Both of these have had to be replaced a few times...so have to make the trip to Florida :rotfl: ) The best place to find these is at Epcot...or the Airport.

Also Christmas ornaments. The 1st year we went to Epcot to make it more interesting for 4 yr old and 8 yr old we bought one thing from each country to put on our tree. (small mexican hat, japanese fan..just small little items that didn't cost too much)

The last time we bought a Mickey picture frame with cutouts (Got it at MGM) and put photos in of our trip and gave it to DH for Christmas.
