Hi. Anybody in Ontario have a CHI hair straightner? Our hairdresser's sell them for almost $200.00. I saw the Target flyer at christmas on sale. We are headed to Disney in march, but would love to find one a little cheaper before then. I also don't order on ebay.:confused3

Do you mean a ceramic hair straightener? If so, I bought one from my hairdresser for around $80 to $100 and it works excellent. I think the brand is Ceramix.
I have very thick hair and I am able to straighten with no problems. I do not think you need something for $200! Is that what you are looking for? To straighten hair? I highly recommend a ceramic one.
Hope I answered your question!

My daughter has a Chi, I think it was around 160.00 or so, not 200.00.

They are great straighteners!

There is a new Beauty Salon Supply store that has arrived in Canada, it's called Sally.

I used to go there when I shuffled off to Buffalo but now I don't. They also have a discount card that works both here and there!

They carry all sorts of hair appliances. DD has bought her Straightener at 1/3 of the price. Can't remember what brand but it works great!

If you have a Winners store near you have a look in the section that they have bath and body products. They have been selling "Paul Brown" straighteners. They are a professional hair tool and are priced at $59.99. These would normally sell for over $100.

I have a Ceramix flat iron I bought from my hairdresser 2 years ago.

Paid about $125 at the time. Unfortunately... I rarely use it. I did for the first few months and then it ended up in the bottom of my cupboard. I just couldn't make my hair look the way the hairdresser did when she used it on me.

If I were you, I'd shop around before dropping $200 there. I also looked at the CHI hair straighteners online and you can definitely get them cheaper than that.

Good luck. :)

Hello,

I bought 2 Chi straighteners for my daughters for Xmas. They love how they work and were thrilled. It takes them a lot less time in the mornings to do their hair because the Chi works so well.
I did a lot of research on them because I had a hard time justifying the price. But after all the reviews they came out on top, especially with a lifetime warranty! They cost about $180.00 a piece and I bought them at "Trade Secrets". They threw in a carryng bag that my daughters also love..because they can put the straightener in hot (it is lined with what looks like teflon?).

Good luck

They are individually owned and set their own prices for most items.
The TS I write for had them on sale (and usually does anyway) for way less than $200.
I write for the Hyde Park location in London ON. Ask for Mike or Teresa. They're awesome!

Hi again. I had a Chi in my hands today at Trade Secrets but just couldn't fork out $169.00+ a couple of weeks before Disney. I have been looking for one for awhile .Now my own straightner just went last week and DD18's just went today. Someone is trying to tell us something. We saw the CHI hair products today at Shoppers Drug Mart, so maybe they might get it.:confused3

I have a T3 which I bought 1.5 years ago. You can get this one from Sephora and I think it's around $200 CDN. I can't believe I waited so long to buy mine. I don't have to spend as much time with the straightener anymore because this one actually stays hot! I love that it also has temperature control (I think most straighteners do in that price range). I had an old Conair before that and I had to go over my hair so many times because it just wasn't hot enough. And it took forever to heat up.

I recommend buying from an authorized dealer. I bought my T3 from eBay and while it was cheaper the manufacturer wouldn't honour the 4 year warranty because it was from eBay.
