Just looked at this yesterday. It will be mostly me, my DH and DS in the car but I do have to older children and like the 3rd row seat.

I also travel to Colorado to visit my DD and am wondering how the AWD is compared to regular 4 wheel drive.

Any help would be great! :)

I test drove one last year. It drives really nice and easy to handle. The biggest con that I could tell was the rear window. Other than that I would definately buy it. I'm hoping they fixed that problem wiht the 2010 version. My Dh keeps saying it' time to upgrade my van and that's what I want (the Traverse) but only if they fix the window problem. It is really hard to see out the back for me (5'5" so not really short) and I didn't like using the rearview camera to back up and such. Also, I would choose the front wheel drive over all wheel since I live where there is a lot of mud and snow, depending on the season, sometimes both at the same time. The entire thing is very roomy, adults sit very comfortably in both back rows.

It costs nothing to upgrade tot he 8 passenger right now, did you want that ?

We bought one in January and I LOVE it!! :lovestruc:lovestruc

It took me a while to get used to driving and parking a larger vehicle, but it gives us so much more room.

We got the upgraded 2 captains seats in the middle and the bench seat in the back, so ours only seats 7.

I love how easy it is to drive/handle and the back up camera.

The 8 passenger is actually the standard ~ seating for 7 (two capts chairs in the middle row) is the upgrade.

This was the LTZ so it had the captains chairs in the middle. There really isn't much left on any car lot because of the cash for clunkers. We arent trading in a clunker but a Tahoe that I loved.

SaraJayne do you have trouble with that rear window as well? I didn't notice that when we test drove it but I am used to the rear camera anyway. But I am really paranoid about being able to see well.

Also, I was under the impression that All Wheel was better than front wheel? Now I'm confused ha (doesn't take much)

Thanks Again!!

Personally, I don't, but everyone is different. It took a few weeks to get used to the smaller back window, but now it's no problem. :)

It's longer than our old car (Malibu) so there is a bit more "dead" space towards the rear, as far as windows go. Just use your mirrors, and always check your blind spot before changing lanes (even though the Traverse has blind spot mirrors (which are great!) I *always* turn around and check first).

ETA: Mine is a front wheel drive, which is just personal preference. :)
