Anyone have a cheatsheet for Buzz Lightyear to improve scores?

Title pretty much says it all!

Jenn
In the first room, the left palm of the big orange robot is a high scoring target. In the upper right or the same room, there's another target on a fly swatter looking claw, and that target gives you a big boost, too. In the second room, concentrate entirely on the top target on the volcano. Also, every time you see Zurg's orange ship, shoot the bottommost target under him.

My source for this is "Top 6 Walt Disney World Myths" from the SuperCarlinBrothers on youtube.

I'm filing all of this away for next week. Don't care how many times it takes me, I'm getting that high score!

and while going through the tunnels, continue holding the trigger because it will continue to add points to your score. (I think it's 1000 points every few seconds but every little bit helps) supposedly there is a flying target in one of the tunnels that is a lot of points but it's a small window of opportunity to hit it.

you can also use the tunnels to spin the car around and make your rider dizzy. every little advantage helps. :rotfl:

I want a cheat sheet for the one in Disneyland. I'm hopeless at that one.
By the way, don't forget to as for the sticker if you get the 999,999 score.

It's 100 points for every five shots you take throughout the ride. Regarding the tunnel, my daughter once got 100,000 for shooting something, never saw it before, never seen it since.

Room #1:
In the first room you will encounter a gigantic red robot on your left. There is a small target on the inside of his left palm worth 100,000 points. The arm moves, and everyone and their Aunt Karen is going to be shooting at or around this one, so know which laser dot is yours. As soon as you hit it, use the joystick to rotate your cart to the front. On the ceiling you will see a gigantic claw. Shoot that for another 100,000 points. If you miss it, turn your cart backwards as you exit the room, which will give you another chance hit the target.

Room #2:
As you enter the second showroom, make sure your cart is turned to the right. On the back wall you will see a large volcano with two targets. Hit the higher one as many times as you possible can. Each hit will rack up another 50,000 points.

A little farther into the room you will notice the Alien-in-the-box (literally a jack-in-the-box but with aliens...so clever, Disney) also on the right. Hit the target and get another 50,000 points.

Room #3:
By this point, if you have hit most of these targets multiple times, you will be more than halfway to maxing out your score. As soon as you pass Zurg-o-Vision, turn your cart to the left side. You will see batteries on the lower half of the showroom. Hit these targets for 25,000 points each.

As soon as you get past the batteries, immediately turn your cart to the right side and prepare to hit the target at the very bottom of Zurg's ship. Hit this target for 100,000. This is my favorite target for two reasons:
  1. The target is somewhat tucked away at the bottom of the showroom. In my experience there are fewer guests aiming at this target, making it easier to see your specific laser dot.
  2. I feel like I have a longer period of time to hit this target, which gives me a greater chance at hitting it multiple times.
Room #4:
The final room is the Emergency Escape Hatch. By the time I reach this room, I most likely already maxed out my score, so I usually can't get points in here. This is when I usually sit and and bask in the glory of sweet victory while my partner scrambles to catch up with me. If you didn't get your 999,999 points by the time you get to this room, you might be out of luck.

Also, I need to know from the posters here....hypothetically speaking, am I a bad person if I don't share the Buzz Lightyear tips with my family?
I am so not sharing with my hubby and going to kick his butt! HA

He is an excellent marksman and always out guns me at the range, at laser tag, at that Jurassic Park arcade game...anything that requires shooting and hitting a target, he wins.

I would LOVE to beat him at Toy Story. He always wins that too. LOL

I've never been a huge fan of this attraction. It's too difficult to track your red dot. I think they should fog it up a bit so that you have a stream. However, I did accidentally get somewhere around 800 points once.

Hope for a ride stop and then just find the highest target and shoot your heart out...LOLLOLOLOL Keep shooting no matter what. That is the only time I ever hit the 999,999.

This guy Galactic Hero's.

We were stopped under the claw in the first room on one ride and just kept shooting and both of us had 999,999 before leaving the first room.

So to clarify, is it the robot’s left arm (which would be on the right side as we look at him) or it the arm on the left as we look at him? 🙄

I knew the Buzz secrets and could score the maximum every time. One time I even rode it by myself and scored the maximum on both seats. :)

Lately I have completely lost it and I can't figure out where my gun is pointing. Last time I rode I barely broke 100K. At 64 years old it is time to retire. :(
