I keep seeing all these benifits of having a CAA membership. Has anyone used thiers at Walt Disney World. Discounts at the world of Disney, is this true? How about going to the CAA and getting packages through them?

I do have CAA but have yet to use it at Disney. I do however use it alot at Universal to get 10% off of food and gifts. You can not use it at DD.
I also buy Universal and Disney tickets at my CAA office.
hockeymom:
Is there anyone specific you deal with at CAA (I assume you deal with the Peterborough office)? I have called twice in the past year (to check on flights for my mom) and have been on hold so long (at least 10 minutes) that I finally hung up and called elsewhere. Due to this, I did not think they would be reliable enough to purchase WDW tickets from but if you do then they are fine I'm sure.
I am considering purchasing one of the CAA a la carte memberships ($30 + GST) that GrannyEv mentioned so I can book a CAA/AAA rate at WDW 12/06 (20% off value room, value rate for 2 weeks).
Thanks

The CAA rates/packages are the same as AAA rates/packages (except for the occasional Canadian resident or at par deals). So, you can book with AAA or CAA travel services. I'm using a AAA agent referred by a DIS'er, which has worked out well.
You can also book CRO for AAA/CAA room rates only.
I found the CAA agent(s) I've dealt with to be um, less than knowledgable. (And frankly, not overly interested in my business -- she never called me back when I asked for a quote for free dining!!)
This AAA agent I'm using worked as a CM at WDW for 7 months and is planning her own trip for December '05 -- so she's knowledgable and enthusiastic. A good combo.

The person I find to be the most knowledgeable on tickets and Disney is Nancy. Now I have never used them for flights so I am not sure if she handles that aspect of the trip.

Though for the package, the same price can be obtained direct from CRO (they won't call it CAA package, but a normal package). At least for the last few years, I haven't see a package deal at CAA that wasn't available through any other travel agent or by buying direct (however AAA/CAA do a "good" job of convincing their members they are getting an exclusive deal).

This is so funny.....I work as a receptionist for CAA on the weekend, and I get yelled by the customers all the time for people waiting on hold! My job?? To patch calls through, and yet, I get yelled at all the time because they are so short staffed here.....
Anyways, as an CAA employee and card holder, I have found that I can always get Disney deals better elsewhere - but then again, I am a bargain shopper.
Now, when it comes to Universal, CAA is the best deal I have found so far.
