Anyone hanging out here with me this weekend?

About half of my naked dolls are clothed now :) Off to make chicken parm for dinner--I'll be back in a little while.

Naked dolls - I could send my nephew over - he always finds clothes when I have any naked ones about - amazing how scrap scappaper makes wonderful clothes:lmao:

I'm making supper at this moment too. spaghetti with hambger, mushroom/mustard sauce

Popping in again- I am glad some of you are getting things done. Just back from our town Christmas parade- I picked up the wreath for our door while there.

Rebecca

you did get pictures to scrap right?? it is hard to scrap if we don't have a picture or 2 or 25;)

back from our outing!

Muppet movie was really cute, sure did bring back memories of the TV show...stopped to get pizza for dinner!

off to make up my cookie dough - megan wants the computer for a bit - so I will check in later, hope to get two more pages completed tonight!

Took a break for the night.. plan on getting started again tomorrow at 10am..
Laundry is done... dinner is done.. kids are veggin' out, DH is sleeping... (had some tingling today with the change in the weather)....

I did finish my 2nd element for streetmosphere... well, the typed info that is...

Didn't get to anything crafty today :confused3 I did get most of my wrapping done and most of my gifts purchased. Hoping for some time tomorrow.

Definately!

Lisa's Christmas Butter Cookies

cream together---
4 - sticks butter - room temp
2 - cups sugar

then add 1 whole egg and 3 egg yolks -- cream one at a time with above
then add 1 cup milk - mix well with above

add
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
6 cups flour

mix well - this gets very thick and sticky, if you are using a hand mixer, add flour slowly or you can burn out your mixer ( have ruined 2 with this :lmao:)

CHILL OVERNIGHT - again this is very sticky, needs to be cold to scoop
I use a small cookie scoop - or you can use a teaspoon from your silverware
oven 350 degrees
non stick cookie sheets
for 11-12 mins - watch your first batch for exact time depends on the size and your oven - until a light golden brown

cool well then frost

Frosting

3 cups powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
5 teaspoons butter - softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
3-4 tablespoons of milk depends on the consistency you like

you can add a few drops of food coloring too or add sprinkles after you frost

store with waxed paper inbetween each layer so they don't stick together, you can freeze them too in an air tight container!

depending on the size you make these you will get anywhere between 10 and 14 dozen cookies!

Enjoy!

sorry I never made it back tonight, pizza coma set in :lmao: will stop in tomorrow!

Ummmm cookies...Lisa, can I just pay you to make some? I love to bake, but stink at sugar cookies. I made 6 Pumpkin Chai breads on Thursday. Soooooooo good.

I wanted to craft yesterday, but the field trip to the school knocked me out. Today we have no plans other than to hang out in our PJs. I'm hoping to get an hour or two to sit with my completed pages and pick out pictures so I can order them and slap 'em on! Of course, I will probably just veg all day. DH will go get pizza for dinner. One of the local restaurants is giving 10% to the 8th grade PTO from 4-8, so we'll support that (and not have to cook!).

We're giving spa sock cupcakes to Morgan's friends. Maybe we'll work on those today. My sister wants to make some too, she's started selling Mary Kay and wants to give them as favors.

Reddy, I neeeeeeeeed that Animal Kingdom file for my first page of that part of the trip :)

Cheryl, 10 inches? Ick. I'm so not looking forward to the white stuff.

Boy, I'm kind of all over the place today. Sorry girls!

Good Morning!

I'm "in" for today. Prepping for next weekend's crop (I HOPE it doesn't Sn*w!) and crocheting on a baby blanket.

TWO of my friends called this week, one after the other, and said their daughters are having babies - one, a boy, after two years of marraige, and the other a girl after ten years of marraige. (THey had almost given up). The girl is due on my birthday. Fingers crossed, lol.

that sound really yummy - I may try this myself -- I like the freezing idea so that I don't have so many around

All over the place is fine with me - I'm usually that way myself:hug:

I'm not wanting the white stuff either - DH is saying he may not let me go to work on Monday when it hits here, weatherman is thinking 2 to 3 am - that would cut into my craft money:sad1:

those "spa" cupcakes are too cute - that would be fun, my understanding pretty easy to do too

Files are posted & the new host doesn't make you wait the 20 seconds to watch those stupid ads:banana:

yea!!! for babies - my sister is going to have one too (that should be the end of the "kids" in the family until the "kids" start having them since mine are the oldest that better be in a few years - hopefully about 10

I love crochting things but mine don't look good to give out - I"m really bad on the tension so it goes tight then loose then tight - depending on what my mood is (relaxed or stressed)

Today's goal is to get the computer files that I want to inkscape in order so more computer work :cool1:

Good morning all :) My army of paper dolls is dressed! Here they are:

Oh Cheryl those are all cute - I love Kim P. belly button

I love the dolls... Especially Bart... You used the exact same paper I did for him! ;) At least you no longer have to dream naked dolls.

I'm getting ready and then going to get the last few loads of laundry done (towels) and get started on cutting my last 3 groups (techinically 2 because my 2 spots in C3 are small)... My goal is to just put the groups together on Monday... I bought DD a new peabody coat from Old Navy last night... regularly 70.00... on sale for 20... plus 30% off.. so 14.00!!! :woohoo: (so I treated myself to one for Christmas).

Ok, off to get ready.. will check back in shortly!

Oh conrats on the coat, why can't I ever find those type of sales when I have money to spend???

I'm tired of computer work so I"m making some more quick style LOs

I got my socks at Michael's, they have 4 or 5 different colors for $2 a pair (I used a 25% off entire purchase coupon and got them for $1.50). I found a couple SVGs, but I think I'll use the one on the Easter cartridge, but edited a bit.
