anyone had the volcano at the RFC?

Our first night at Disney we had dinner at the Rainforest Cafe. We were at DTD and we have never eaten there so we said why not. We had a very good meal and we decided to finish it off with a big finale...........the VOLCANO!!
Oh my goodness....... this desert is absolutely sinful!!
It states that it is big enough for 2 people, we shared this between 3 of us and could not finish it. It is a huge brownie, in the shape of a volcano, with vanilla ice cream in the middle, whipped cream on the top, and caramel and fudge syrup drizzled all over it
If you have never tried it, make a point to. It is well worth the money!

It's great, isn't it? We've had it at our local RFC, but I'm sure it's very similar at all the RFCs. Just for the record, our family of 4 has never managed to finish more than about half of it, and DS LOVES his chocolate.

OK. I feel really bad becasue the 3 of us CAN finish one. We really like it. THe WDW resturants do not light then like some of the other chains but it's great anyway.

We always get one for all of us to share. They are huge and plenty for everyone.

Last year it was presented with a sparkler on the top at the Animal Kingdom one. Is that what you mean by lighting it up???

YES. We have not gotten a sparkler at either WDW location but rather a tinsle type topper. Guess they have just been out. WE have gotten a sparkler in other places. Volcano tasted just as good however.

It would definetely be appropriate to just go in for dessert!
I saw many people just having the volcano. It is delicious.....
It is rather expensive(12.99) to buy more than one though. Like I said, we shared between 3 of us and it was more than enough, we did not even finish it but we did have dinner as well. 12.99 between 3 people is not bad.
Go and get you one and enjoy!!!

Last time we ate at the RFC my DS didn'y want anything else on the menu so just ordered the volcano. He did his best with it and then the rest os us (4 of us) helped him out after we had finished our meals. We still didn't manage to finish it all though. It was really good and we did our best but in the end had to admit defeat.

We never eat at the RFC when in WDW, because we have one at the Mall of America near where we live. We have had the volcano there though, and it is sooo good! Our family of three cannot finish it! Although I love to order it, I am always so embarrassed with the hoopla the servers make when they serve it..."V--O--L--C--A--N--OOOOO!!!" as loudly as they can as they stream towards your table with the flaming and huge concoction. Do they do that at the WDW RFC's too?

It's really good! We use the meal vouchers and are able to combine a child and adult dessert to get it. It's a good deal when you do it this way.

Oh, I'm LMAO at this one! I was at Rainforest Cafe in DTD last week, and my kids wanted a volcano. Well, I told the waitress that we wanted to order one, but *please* to bring it out quietly, and she did! I was so happy, as both me and my kids look like we don't need to be eating that, and well, heck, I just get embarrassed! LOL
