Anyone had relief from joint pain from Acupuncture?

My friend is considering acupuncture to treat elbow pain that may be due to an inflammed nerve.
Could you let me know if this treatment has helped you, if at all.

My mom, who has arthritis, had excruciating elbow pain and literally could not straighten out her arm. She went to a wonderful Chinese doctor (he was an MD) for accupuncture treatments. Immediately after the first treatment, she walked out of the office and, with a big smile on her face, showed me her fully outstretched arm.

DH has had good results for joint pain with accupuncture treatments also. However, I have heard that accupuncture will not help nerve pain. You say your friend's pain may be caused by an inflamed nerve. If it's not definite, I would definitely give the accupuncture a try.

I have not, but my DH's late grandmother did. She was felled by a particularly nasty case of shingles at the ripe young age of 83. She went for acupuncture on her doctor's recommendation, and received immediate relief. So much so, that she continued going, once every couple of months, because, in her words, "It made my old bones feel WONDERFUL"

I love acupuncture and usually get it every couple of weeks. My friend and dance teacher is also my acupunturist, so it is slightly social as well. Regardless, it helps with the pain I have as a result of ballet. However, it can be used for a ton of things... depression, headaches, and muscular pain are a few that I have used it for. But it can be used to help have a healthy pregnancy, to break drug addiction, and so much more! I always think that it is worth a try if nothing else.

My husband went for his elbow/arm and it worked MIRACLES. It takes 3 visits--and each visit, the results are obvious. On the third visit when the last "needle" was placed in his arm--he said it was like a shock that went through his body and right into that arm and then it POPPED--and it was completely healed.

My best friend when to one because she couldn't hear well out of one ear. She went to lots of ENT (ear nose throat) docs before she tried Accupuncture and her experience and results were the exact same as my husbands (different docs, too)-on the third visit a shock went up through he body and she felt a pop in her ear--and she was cured.

I think there is alot Western Docs are missing.
