Anyone gotten ME luggage tags for trips?

I keep reading the horror stories on the transportation board about the new Magical Express service and it seems that most of the problems are stemming from the fact that no one is receiving their ME luggage tags before the trips. We got our package in the mail last week with our regular luggage tags and itinerary, in there it said the ME package would be mailed 21 days prior to the tirp, that's this week. Has anyone gotten this package with the ME tags,if so when did you get tthem? I'm trying to think positively about ME and want to see some people who have had success receiving their items. Thanks.

I leave in 12 days and still haven't gotten my ME luggage tags. I had DH call WDW yesterday to check on them and he was told that there was a printing error and that we should receive them soon. I'm keeping my fingers crossed because I don't want to have to deal with all the stress that everyone else is going through at the airport. If it comes down to it, DH and I decided to just get a taxi/towncar/or mears(not ME mears).
Good Luck to everyone still waiting for luggage tags. I'll post as soon as I get them (if I get them).

By the way, just curious to see if anyone else feels this way. DH and I have been talking about not going to WDW next year. This will be our 4th year in a row going and each year the whole reservation process and service keeps getting worse. It's not as enjoyable when you have to worry about your room reservations, AP rate getting messed up. Not all of the CMs know what they're doing while others are great (not consistent). And now this ME thing is worrying me. So we definitely decided not to renew our APs. And we might go somewhere else on vacation (that is relaxing and stress-free).

Does anyone else feel that they may re-think their annual WDW vacation?

There is a VERY good report about ME on another forum. That family got their ME tags the day before they left. The whole experience was very positive they said. Wait times were minimal and from landing to being in their room, it was not much over an hour.

Nope, as my trips are only as stressful as I make them out to be! Then again, I have had luck with discounts, etc, so it isn't an issue for me. After this trip next month, I might re think going in the summer again!

Angie...if you find someplace to vacation that is stress-free, let us know!

IMHO, ALL travel is stressful in some way.

ITA! DH's says his favorite vacation spot is BED!

Just a suggestion, to breakup the annual WDW trip... plan a trip to DL next year.. I absolutely loved California Adventure and with the parks being side-by-side, it was GREAT! And the weather - AWESOME.

Just a thought... I although I'm going to WDW in a few weeks, I might go to DL later this year... and I'm going back to Orlando in April 2006 (although I might not make it to WDW on that trip - business stuff).

Anything that requires advanced planning (and money) will involve stress. And MemoryMakers... your husband is correct... even after a nice trip, I can't wait to get home and get in my own bed. When I return, I typcially feel like I need another vacation at home to recover.

I'm leaving on the 13th (this Friday) and I just received my luggage tags from FedEx.

bgbruce,

That is great news! We leave 5/15 for POR. I'm hoping my tags come today, too! Seems like someone is always posting that a "big batch went out on Friday." Maybe it really did.....!

Betty

We leave 5/13 and our tags came today!

Unfortunately, there was no flight info so I had to call (for a third time) to give them the info.

That said, the brochure is pretty cool and, when they have their act 100% together, it should be a fantastic service!

I leave on the 25th and nothing yet here! Hopefully we will luck out and thinks will all be in great working order by the time we go. You can always hope....right?

We just got our ME tags today by fedex. We will be leaving on the 14th. They had our return flight info but no departure flight info so I will have to call them and give them that info again.

Interesting! Well, at least you got them. Had you called Disney to see where they were and then received them, or they just came FED Ex without a phonecall?

Thanks,
Lesley

I had called disney 3 times to confirm and each time they had a little more of my reservation so I guess I will need to call back and re confirm and give them the departure infor again I am hopping by the time we leave they will finnally have all the info in their computer. But we will see.

We don't leave until 5/28 and haven't gotten tags... I'm hopeful that AAA will receive the tags this week (or next at latest) and then I can go pick them up.

It seems odd to me that they would send out tags if they didn't have your arrival information. I thought the major point of having the tags was for the arrival of your luggage at MCO.

Oh well, you got them which is better than some. Have a great trip!

We leave Friday the 13th... I called today since we haven't received our tags yet. They said that if you don't get your tags you'll just give your luggage claim tickets to the CM and they will get your luggage. I am not sure how comfortable I am with this. I told them I don't think I trust them to get my luggage once it has made it to the luggage claim area. I'm sure they'd be looking for others as well. I've read reports where this hasn't been a problem. So, I am not sure what we are going to do. They did say we could bring our luggage onto the bus and it would be stowed down below. I am not sure who is responsible for the lost luggage if an issue were to occur. I'm sure Disney will not take responsibility. What would you do? Should I trust them? I sure hope our tags arrive before Friday and then, I'd feel much better about this.

Tina

I've thought about this. If our tags don't arrive then I will wait and get the bags myself and cart them out to the bus. I assume they would help me with the bags once we get to the resort. It would be better that way for me that way I KNOW the luggage won't get lost. They said to give the CM at MCO the description of your bags and they'd pull them off, but my bags are SO typical of every bag you see coming in and out of MCO that I wouldn't trust this at all. I am HOPING and PRAYING our tags will come before we leave.
