Has anyone gotten 109 for a standard room . I had a standard room booked since june and when the codes came out 4 dif cm's said that standard rooms are not available on the codes so I upgraded to coutyard for 137--. I know this is a very good rate but still would prefer the standard to save money. Please help if you've gotten this price and what code you used so I can try calling back.Thank you

I have seen some DISers get $109 per night at AKL, but I don't think I have seen any $109 per night rates posted for WL. Kind of funny because these two resorts are usually about the same when it comes to rates. The $109 per night rate is for a Standard Room Standard View. More people must be booking the Wilderness Lodge. I would assume since there aren't any $109 per night AP rates left that the WL is booking fast.
ADP :)

We got WL at $109 standard with EWK for Sep 10-16. I think the problem is that these go really fast. DH called in at 7:00 am to get it.

I would keep trying again, because it takes a couple days for cancellations to hit and the rooms open up again.

Good luck.

I already had a Woods View reserved when I called to have the Florida Resident Code added to my reservation so I didn't ask. The price I recieved was $135.00 with tax. Sept. 10-12

I had a standard room already booked and I called at 7 am on the day the codes came out so now I am really confused. I HAD one and that is why I am so frustrated now. For 8 nights the price increase to courtyard was only 240 so its not that much money , but still money I could use on something else. And mousesavers says 109 for standar at WL.Confused:confused:

I had a standard room booked at Wilderness Lodge for $199/night, waiting for codes to come out. I was lucky enough to get one of THE e-mails, and I called right away. But the code was not good on the room I had booked; I could only use it for a concierge room. The CM checked Animal Kingdom Lodge, and I could use it for a pool view room for $135/night, including tax. After talking a little with the CM, I asked about Pop Century and she said I could get $49/night for Pop Century!

I couldn't pass up the $49/night rate; and I was able to apply the deposit I had put down on WL, so now my room is paid in full for our upcoming visit in Dec!!!!

I just booked WL at $109 rate for standard room for Sept. 10-12 using EWK rate. EWJ rate was also available.

am interested in EWK and EWJ codes ... are there any limitations (ie Florida resident or AP??).

Thanks

This will be my first trip to WDW. Very confused at the moment...

Who do you book with to get code discounts?

Have made WL reservations with DU. To get the code discounts - is it first in first served? Or will they offer the codes discounts automatically because I have already booked?

Think about it in terms of what is best for Disney. They aren't giving you a gift.If bookings are down, they release codes to fill up rooms that are not already booked. When you book a room at rack rate, Disney sees this room as booked. When you call up with a code, there may not be availability for your dates. Your booked room is actually working against you as that is one less room they have to sell.

I have a room booked at the Yacht club in Nov... I called the other day to apply a discount code, but they said there are no more rooms available, the hotel is TOTALLY BOOKED for the time I am staying... So does that mean they won't offer codes for the hotel for the time?

thanks

shesleuth - Code EWK is for Annual Passholders and EMJ is only for Florida residents. You can find more information on these on the DISboards discount page:

http://www.wdwinfo.com/discounts/discounts-current.htm

cjeong - The codes can be applied by Dreams Unlimted but they must be aware if you qualify for one. For example, if you are going to purchase an AP but didn't tell your DU TA, he/she would not know to check for that discount for you. If you want to find out if that code will work for you and how much you'd save (to determine if it would be worthwhile to buy an AP), contact your TA. My understanding is that these discounts can be used by anyone that qualifies and you can apply the code if you book yourself or have a TA do so.

amcghfan01 - There are limited numbers of rooms available for each resort during the time of the offered discount. They go fast so it's usually a good idea to call to ask as soon as you can after the codes are released. However, since people may change their reservations at any time, you should try again in case a room with the discount does become available (if you read many threads, you'll see that many people change dates, resorts, level of room, etc. before the date of their trip - I did so myself and may again if I need to be more budget minded). Oh yeah, some dates are "blacked out" for discount rates if there is a big event happening at the resort. If that happens, you could always see if moving to another resort will get you a discount.

All - Keep on checking the DIS for discount information because doing so saved me a lot on my WL/AKL stay using the September room-only code - one that can be used by anyone. The AP and FL resident discounts are better but I'm still happy with the rates I got.

DU will apply code discounts as soon as they come out. It sounds like they have better luck getting the discounts that people do calling. We used DU for our trip to the Swan, but there were no discounts during that time.

It sounds like the EWJ/EWK are for Fl residents and AP Holder. If you are going for more than 8 days, it would be worth it to get an AP. Let your agent at DU know that you have one.
