Anyone going to 'The World' for Labor Day weekend??

My husband said he'd take me to Disney World for my birthday (August 30)~~WITHOUT THE CHILDREN!! I am very excited. Curious to how the weather and crowds are though....

I leave Disney on September 1st, so I am missing that weekend, however I was there for last labour day weekend and it was insanely busy at the parks ~ get there early ~ do your favourites ~ be patient and have fun!

We're contemplating it. Waiting to see if codes or AP rates come out first. My husband is in Europe right now singing. He's been gone for awhile and won't be back for awhile so we've discussed going for Labor Day so we can have some fun, quality time together. We just went Memorial Week. Why not start the summer off at Disney, and end it at Disney.

so, where's everyone staying? If we go, it'll be YC or BC.

Hi, PamNC! My MIL lives in Wilmington....we were just at the Outer Banks in early June for a lovely vacation at Cape Hatteras. We love visiting there. Living in Kansas, it's pretty much the only time we ever see the ocean!!

We are also hoping to stay at BC, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some good codes! We've never stayed there before, so I'm really looking forward to it .

I wasn't surprised to hear about the crowds. I think you are absolutely right about hitting the parks early, taking a siesta at the resort, and returning for the evening. That will be our plan!

We're coming in on Labor Day, 9/1!! I hope everyone has a great weekend and that most folks LEAVE 9/1.

Actually on the Theme Parks board, it seems that the rest of that week will be very managable crowd wise.

Hi KSgirl! I'm glad you enjoyed my lovely state. Cape Hatteras is wonderful and unspoiled. We live way west of there - near the mountains. Actually in the foothills. It's pretty over here too.


Crowds - You know, I've never been for labor day but we go memorial week every year. I'll bet it's comparable. the weekend of Memorial day is a little crowded, but then it thins out. I'm thinking after the 1st it will definitely be manageable, if not a little light.

I just hope there isn't a hurricane because I just remember I did go labor day one time years ago with my mom, grandma and aunt and there was a hurricane. I can't believe I forgot that. It was nice in a way because the crwods were thin but the park closed early one day.

Keep your fingers crossed for a code! And, if you go (and you to hightown) let's wear our ribbons since we'll be at the best resort in the world at the same time.
