DH is begging me to end the day with a movie. He's wanting to see either Avatar or Sherlock Holmes. I was NOT interested in Avatar until I read some of the good reviews here on the DIS, but I love Robert Downey and Sherlock Holmes seems interesting.

Of course, I've also been nagging him to see The Princess and the Frog. ;)

Anyone else going to the movies? What are you planning on seeing?

I've never been to the movies on Christmas Day but several people I know have made this a family tradition. Must not be too uncommon since I hear the theaters are packed on Christmas!! popcorn::

My son and his gf are going later but I don't know what they're planning on seeing.

We're going to see Alvin and the Chipmunks. We usually try to catch 2 movies. DS wants to see Avatar. I have no interest in it. So DH might take DS to Avatar while I go to Sherlock Holmes.

We're splitting into two groups for movies. Some for Avatar, some for...I'm not sure what.:earsboy:

We are going to see The Blind Side. We have been SO busy we haven't had time to see it, and today is the perfect day to do it!

Oh, I totally forgot about this one! My boss said it was fantastic and certainly a must-see. You are correct that today is the perfect day to see it!

Ergh, now to convince DH.... ;)

I think I am going to see The Blind Side today if not tomorrow one.

I don't know. I want to. I am sure everyone is against me.:rolleyes1

I would probably go see Sherlock Holmes if I could pick first, then Avatar & then Christmas Carol.

One of the best movies I have seen in a long time. But warning, take tissues.

We're going to see Did you Hea a out the Morgan's?

We've already seen Avatar (last weekend....excellent), Disney's Christmas Carol, The Blind Side.

I don't think that we will end up going today, but I really want to see Sherlock Holmes. Maybe Sunday...

We were planning on Sherlock Holmes. However DH back is flaring up, and he can't stand, sit, or walk for longer than a few minutes. He would be miserable and we don't want to leave him at home. I hit the Redbox, and got 6 movies...So we are having a marathon at home.

Last year we saw Bedtime Stories on Christmas Day, this year we are going to Sherlock Holmes!!! Very excited!
The Blind Side is a great choice, I smiled much more than I cried. Great movie.

we usually do a movie christmas eve or sometimes christmas day but we got 12 inches of snow yesterday, we're not going anywhere. Heck we've even decided to hold off Christmas till tomorrow.

My step dad had to cover one of his drivers routes last night, there are hundreds and hundreds of cars that were just abandoned in the roads and highways when the blizzard got so bad. (we couldn't even see the back yard fence from the house)

We usually only get 3 or 4 icy/snowy days a year so we tend to shut down when something major happens.

I really want to see Sherlock, Blindside and I'll admit it, I want to see New Moon.

To those of you with clear roads, enjoy your day.

I saw footage of your roads, wow! We have more than a foot of snow also, but where we live, you just up and go anyway LOL.

This will be our first time going to the movies on Christmas day. We're going to see the Chipmunks, per my son's request. I wanted to see the Blindside, hubby wanted to see Avatar.

I wanted to go see Sherlock Holmes but we have family visiting and they don't want to go. :(

I want to see Sherlock Holmes, The Young Victoria, and An Education.

I'm also looking forward to The Lovely Bones, the new movie with Amy Adams, Dear John, and Letters to Juliet!!

The last movie I saw in a theatre was this summer's Up. It made me laugh and cry. Wish more movies were like that (wholesome).

We're going to see Sherlock Holmes and It's Complicated. :thumbsup2

Last year we saw Twilight and Bedtime Stories. We would do a repeat of New Moon, but DH is going and vetoed that one!!

We always go to the movies on Christmas Day....it's fun!

I know, I always laugh when there's like 2 inches and places start closing, but this time it was really bad and since we're just not use to it there were lots of drivers who went out yesterday and got totally over thier heads.

Good news is in Oklahoma if you don't like the weather we only have to wait a little while and it completly changes LOL. Sun is out today and the wind is no longer blowing at 50+ miles an hour. So it'll melt off in a day or so and we'll be back to normal.
