I just got my AP invitation to the preview of RotM on May 21st. Anyone going???? Are they offering any hotel discounts for this? Never been to a special AP event before!!!

I have not received my AP newsletter with this event yet. If the past is any indication, I will not likely receive my newsletter until AFTER the event. Thank you for posting the event. I will not be able to make it, however. We will be at Universal in the end of June.

I have ordered my AP online, but will not be activating it until our visit in 2 weeks. How do I get invited to this event? Should I inquire at Guest Services when we arrive? Thanks.:chat:

I might be there if I can get the time off from work.

For those who have an invite, what does it say? What do you need to get in (i.e. do you need the invite)?

Here are the facts:
Be there as Universal Studios reopens its gates just for 2-Park Preferred Annual Passholders and their guests (guest admission is $20 + tax). From 8:00 PM until midnight, you'll plunge into darkness, face fireballs, scarab beetles and an army of the undead on the all new thrill ride Revenge of the Mummy.

Special Annual Passholder Evening, Friday, May 21, 2004

Height restrictions:48" May not be able to accomodate certain body types. Due to the popularity of this attraction, a wait time should be expected. Other attractions will be available.

Please RSVP to:
apspecialeventa@universalorlando.com

From more information call passholder services at 866-PASS-4-FUN

I found out that half are getting the invitation for the 21st and the other half are getting it for the 22nd. The invitation is the same but the rsvp address is different.

For the 21st the RSVP email is: apspecialeventa@universalorlando.com

For the 22nd the RSVP email is:
apspecialeventb@universalorlando.com

There is a card that says Revenge of the Mummy the Ride and "Annual Passholder Event. " But it doesn't say you need the card to get in. All it says is Proof of ID required. II'm assuming you can just RSVP and show up. Most aren't even doing the RSVP but just showing up. I did RSVP so they can get a count.

Hmm....we haven't received a Annual Pass newsletter since October. I'll be annoyed if we don't get this!!

Woo Hoo!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Thanks so much for posting this. We, of course, have not gotten our invitations in the mail. My kids are actually off from school on the 21st for a professional day. Can you say "Long weekend in Orlando!" Yessss::yes::

We will be there. Guess I have to call and R.S.V.P.

Dis meet at the event??? Anyone???

We're trying to get there! I'll let you know if we're coming!!! Anyone know if they're offering any discounts at the resort for this?

We've had AP's since January and have not received any mailings. How do you sign up for this? I can't even sign in on the AP section on the Universal Orlando website. My numbers won't work...... And I do have the preferred 2-park AP..... Weird - they must not have my number registered?

here's what I know about the resort situation for the AP weekend:

PBR: sold out
HRH: no discounts of any kind left
RPR: discount available on upper level rooms (I booked a king suite for 219 w. the AP discount)

bottom line, I would book now, and then figure stuff out, you can always cancel the ressie.

We're in the same boat. We renewed our PAP's last December and I have not gotten any mailings in the four months since. I also think that something must be going on with the AP website because I have tried to access it several times in the past few weeks and have been unable. All of our numbers are not working (4 PAP's). I know they're all valid because we used them at USF and IOA last week:rolleyes: I have no idea what's going on with this.

Nope, I'll be at CP.

Great job marketing department. Just tell everyone to come less than a month away. It's going to be mostly locals.
And the event is from 8pm to midnight, and crowds are expected to be heavy.

Called AP hotline about a week ago & asked why my Pass # was "invalid" on UOs' website. Told me that function was down right now. Will probably go the way of the old webcams ('member those?).
The phone # is on my board at work, will post it here Monday.

Had read here last nite that PBH was sold-out, but still managed a room for 2 nites the 21st & 22nd. Only suites & club level were being quoted tho.
Never hurts to call and check in case of canxs.

We have the power pass which as a sort of AP could we go to this preview as we are allready there ( may 15 to may 29) we wondered if we could do this
Paulh

I am so excited about this...I was at the event to send off Kong...and am looking forward to going to the event to Welcome the Mummy....Universal treats its passholders so well..

We got ours a couple days ago. Our event is for the 22nd (darn!). But I'm trying to convince my parents to let us go to the parks for Grand Opening anyway!

I haven't gotten my invite yet. *sniff* Maybe they need to see what my title is. :) Anyway, if I'm not at the AP event, I hope to be there for the grand opening.

I'll be there. Quit your job, Barry, and organize a meet!

OK, I can live in a cardboard box and eat out of the dumpster. :)
