We are thinking of going to see it, but we have them all on DVD already ... should I go?

If you are/aren't going, why?

I really, really, really want to go. However, DD is once again running a fever, so I don't think we'll make it. This is the 4th day that she's had a fever (on again, off again. She went to school Friday b/c we thought it had broke). The doctor on Wed. said it was just a virus, but her daddy has her at a different dr. this morning since it doesn't seem to be going away.

I love Toy Story & I love 3-D. :3dglasses Does anyone know how much this will cost since it's a double feature 3D? Also, is there any sort of break in between the movies? I hate to miss some of the show to go to the bathroom or refill drinks, but 3+ hours is a long time to sit!

I know there definitely will be an intermission. But I don't know the cost of the feature.

Edit: I just found out the prices. At the regal by me, it is Matinee: $10.50 adult $10.00 child. Post-Matinee: $13.25 adult $10.00 child.

To give you a basis for those prices, the normal prices at my theater is Matinee: $7.00 adult $6.50 child. Post-Matinee $9.75 adult $6.50 child.

That would mean that it is a $3.50 price increase.

We are going Monday.

Our family really likes the new theatre we go to.Besides the tiered seating it has a good food setup, for a theatre.Love the Working Cow ice cream. It makes for a good family outing for us,all be it expensive for 4.

We all like Toy Story, and all love 3D in particular,so to see the already great looking movies in 3D is what gets us to go.I haven't watched either one for quite awhile so it will be fun to see them again I think.

We wouldn't go without them being in 3D,since we have the DVD's of course.

One good thing is,at least here,is that the ticket prices were reduced a little from the norm.About $1.50-$1.75 less for an adult.

We'll enjoy the shows.I'm sure.

Luckyyy. I wish. It would be a no brainer for me. But I still think we will go. I haven't seen Toy Story in a while. I love Rex. He is hilarious.

I own multiple versions of both movies on DVD, and I will be going to see it on Monday or Tuesday afternoon. The theater I go to has a matinee for $9.50. Can't get much better than that. :cool1:

We are planning to go. Our theater always charges more for 3D movies, but the price of this is no different than a regular 3D film. I did get two "free" tickets, however, by purchasing 2 Disney DVDs at Target. The DVDs were 14.99, so they were slightly more than the movie ticket price, but now I have a DVD and I get to see the movie. There were several different Disney movies to choose from. The ones that offer a free ticket have a little red information thing on the bottom right corner.

we went last night and enjoyed it. I had not seen TS1 in quite some time.

There is a 10 minute intermission and they do a cute countdown.

there is also an awesome 3d preview for Christmas Carol.

we paid $13 adult, $11 child. We had a voucher for $7.50 at concessions - came with TS Mania from Best Buy. Also, if you order your tickets at Fandango you get double Disney Movie Rewards.

the theatre was probsbably 80% full!

Are you SERIOUS?!? TEN minutes?!? Eek :faint:... I would have hoped there would have been a 15-minutes intermission. Which was longer - the lines for the  bathroom or the lines for the concession-stand :drinking1 popcorn::?

agnes!
PS - Oh, I am also impressed that you used all those coupons...wow.

it's not playing here, so i guess we're out of luck. if it were showing in 3D, i would go see it, but our theater doesn't usually show 3D movies, so we'll probably skip it, since we have both movies on DVD.

I really want to take the kids. The Toy Story movies have always been DS5's favorites and he LOVES Buzz and Woody. I'm not sure we will make it though--two weeks isn't very long for it to be in theaters. The nearest theater to us that is showing it is an hour away--so that's two hours of travel time plus 3+ hours of movies. It's going to be hard for us to find that chunk of time. I'm afraid it won't happen:confused3

I know! I was thinking the same thing!!!:) I stayed in my seat to watch the trivia and stuff, but DH says it wasn't so bad.

I went yesterday with my mom (we love the Toy Story movies).

The movie time was 3:40. Of course, you know how many stinkin' previews there are!

It was a cute setup. Toy Story 1 ended around 5:10, and then there was a 10-minute break. They showed trivia and little fun clips onscreen during this. Toy Story 2 ended around 6:50, 6:55. (And yes, they show the outtakes!) It was cute, but not really "3D". Nothing really came out of the screen, like they do in the WDW 3D movies. Still, very cute.

Can't wait for Toy Story 3!

I took the kids last night. Our theatre's tickets were $9.50 to get in and that was a matinee price.

Total we were in the movie theatre for almost 3 1/2 hours with intermission and previews. Our intermission was only 5 minutes long.

It was enough time for DS (11) to run and get us a refill on popcorn and a drink and me to take DD to the restroom.

I haven't seen the Toy Story movies since DS was little. It was fun for all of us and great to see the movies again, plus it got us in the mood for our WDW trip in 2 months.

So the 3-D wasn't that good? If it wasn't, then I may pass on this. That was the main reason I was going to go.

We went to the 10:15 matinee this morning. It was great. The digital 3D is really cool - nothing pops out at you but the film has much more depth. Think 1080p high def but even more depth. Pleasantly surprised that our 3D glasses were also plastic frames and pretty sturdy (we went to an AMC). Intermission for 10 minutes between the two but they run fun trivia and short clips during those 10 minutes that is pretty funny, too - comments from the characters answering the questions, etc.

Well worth the $8 each we paid for the matinee - 2-for-1 and great movies and in digital 3D is almost impossible to beat. Worth double the price. The previews included the upcoming "A Christmas Carol" and it looked aweome in 3D as well. Planet 51 also looks quite funny and creative.

We went yesterday and I'm glad we saw it in 3D. It was actually really fun and my daughter loved it. There was a 5 minute intermission in between our movies which was plenty of time to use the potty. I figured my daughter would act up but she did wonderful.

I want to go. I love Toy Story. We might be going sometime this week.

I could've written this post, except ours was at 10 a.m. Friday. There were only about a dozen or so other people in the theater, and we really enjoyed it. The 3D quality was outstanding, and it really felt like you were "in" the movie. 3 BIG :thumbsup2 from our family!!
