***anyone going to DL in April?? ***

Made it home last night, the highlights includes being 1st in line for frozen AND scoring a size 10/12 (L) Frozen Elsa dress for my oldest, my 2yr old giving Mickey Mouse a kiss on the nose ( but being terrified of most other characters) and finding out that we could view fireworks from our room (4th floor fantasy tower DLH). Hope everyone has/had a great April trip!

Sounds like y'all had a great trip! Hope ours is just as awesome!

Please share how you managed to be first in line for Frozen? Thanks

We went an hour and a half early to the opening gates to be the third one let into the park on a non-extra magic hour day and got A front row to the rope drop. Then well Let's just say we got a stern reprimand from the security official who reminded us That not listening to instructions from Disney employees could get us kicked out of the park, in other words we ran. However it should be pointed out that we were not the only ones running & reprimanded for it, but I think since we were able to score the first in line we were scolded the hardest.

And did the M&G start at park opening? or did you have to wait some more once at the Frozen location?

If it makes you feel any better, there's worse things. Like having your small child run to get in front of everyone while you go park the stroller. True story. We waited a long time for the ropes to drop to meet the fairies at WDW when they were quite new & popular. We were the first people at the rope by a long shot. So the CMs were walking us in and I was right behind the CM. As we passed the stroller area I saw a man with a stroller tell his daughter to run. As she ran up beside me the CM told her not to run which I guess startled her because I proceeded first into the queue. The little girl came up to me in the line and said, "I was first." I smiled sweetly and said, "No, sweetie, you were running to cut the line which is wrong to do." I was shocked at a parent telling their child to run to jump in front of people. My husband, tho, tells the story with increasingly colorful embellishments. Last I heard, he was telling someone I flew off the top top with a flying elbow move before I body-slammed a random child. LOL!

Park open "royal reception" I think they called it however two days prior it was 1 hour after park open so it does vary.

We (I!) have just started to plan a July 2015 WDW trip!! Our first ever! I am super excited and super overwhelmed! So much bigger than DLR!

Hopefully I will get some time this weekend to do a wrap up of our Easter weekend trip! It was my most magical trip thus far!

Maybe we'll see you there!! We are planning a WDW for July 2015 also!!! Happy planning!

I think we may have been one of the last April peeps. We were here from 4/27 til today. At the airport waiting for our return flight now.

It was the utmost of misfortunes to catch the Santa Ana winds like we did. The sandblasting then crazy heat was miserable. I may be a Southern girl but I'm smart enough to not go out when its crazy hot. All the outside queues aren't exactly conducive to that. Last night was insane busy in the parks. At about 8:00 we decided DL was getting way too tight so we tried to hop over to DCA. Big mistake. We got out to the plaza and decided against it. The lines to enter both parks were easily 15-20 mins long. Headed back thru DtD to our hotel (DLH) was like swimming upstream. Yikes! We ended with a quiet dinner at Tangaroa Terrace and watched the fireworks from our 10th floor room. ;)

I'm glad we did DL but the heat, crowds, and strangely short hours (not just parks) might make me think twice. I think we're just THAT spoiled to the laid back slow pace of the Disney cruise vacations. :D

Cool!! :cool1: I have already started as it is our first ever trip and man oh man, the size in itself is overwhelming! Good thing I have 14 months to research!!:p
Hope you have a magical trip as well!!pixiedust:
