Anyone considering or going solo for the homecoming

i was thinking of going solo too, but how much fun can that be, especially until midnight for two nights, i couldnt talk dh in going when we are going easter/christmas, and the kids have school,
but the airfare is so cheap $142 round trip. and i want to be apart of the homecoming, it kinda makes you feel alittle special all this just for the dvc members, the tickets are alittle pricey, but i think it would be worth it

All kidding aside ( I luv ya, DW ), I think that of all places, WDW would be a great place to go solo. When DW and I go to WDW, we always end up chatting with folks - in line, at meals, at our resort, on the transportation. Some are families, some are just couples, and some are solo - either for the trip, or just for a while ("Oh, my husband is off playing golf, so I figured I'd try the MK by myself.") And since this'll be the DVC MH, I'll bet the friendliness factor will be even higher. I'd say give it a shot; honestly, do you think you'd ever say, "Boy, I'm so sorry I went to the Member Homecoming", solo or not?

I thought about going solo, but decided to see id DD (18) might like to go. She will just have finished her first year of college and could use a little treat! She's very excited about going, although I'm not sure she will be quite as excited about the MH events as I will be! But, I know I won't get too many opportunities to have a "girls only" trip with her, so I'm grabbing the chance!

If you hang out on the Adult and Solo board for a little while, you'll learn how much fun it is for those of us who go solo. And DVC studios are just perfect for solo trips-like your own little apartment there-I speak from personnal experience! We did an add-on at BCV specifically for my solo trips.
I'll be at WDW during homecoming, technically with DH but since he'll be golfing every day, really solo. Let me know if you plan a meet for DVC members! Sounds like fun!

I thought about inviting someone, but don't know anyone that would be as excited about MH and all the events as I am. I could imagine trying to explain to someone what a "meet" is and why we must go! I would be by myself by the time we landed. LOL

I have tickled my brain with the idea of bopping down solo... but I wont... I just ditched my kids in September for a girls trip to WDW, so it will be a looooong time before I go to the World without them again!! LOL

It does sound like a blast, and I sure hope they have more of these in the future, with more notice!
