Anyone going on the Wonder Oct 14, 2010?

Well it is me and the wife in one room, and my mom all by herself in another.

Hi,

We're on this cruise too!

Lisa and Darrell - this will be our 7th cruise.

My sis Jen, bil Mike and niece Lila. This will be Jen and Lila's 2nd cruise, Mike's first.

In addition good friends of ours that are dis'ers too - Deb and John will be on as well. They are doing a B2B with this being the 2nd part. This will be their 10th.

Anyone planning on doing FE?

Alan - we were on the Westbound PC Repo in 2008 too! So were Deb and John.

Well hello again, I think. Not sure if I meet you two on that one. I can't wait to do it again in Jan. I can tell you we are, by that I mean DW and myself, not doing a FE. This is cruise one of B2B. We are staying on for the 10/17 sailing as well. Believe it or not it was like 600 cheeper than a regular 7 night.

Hi......it took me a while to figure out how to find other people!

Im new to the DIS & have become quite obsessed! Im finding out so much information that I wish I would have known before (this will be our 2nd Disney Cruise).

My two sons (3 & 9) and I will be sailing with you!! I am also TRYING to keep it a surprise until we get to the airport. Im like a kid myself when it comes to this & dont know if I can keep it a secret that long :)

I do not think I will do FE....I will have enough to keep track of...sorry!

I can not hardly wait until October 13th (we are flying down early!)

We're onboard...WOOHOO!!! We're doing our first B2B with this one and the 4 night right before this. It will be our 9th and 10th DCL cruises....then we'll be platinum. I'm so excited. I can't wait. I'm paid in full so I get to book Palo, spa and shore excursions on July 1st.

It will be me and DH travelling together. Our last cruise was January 2010 and it was FREEZING. I can't wait to go back out in the warmth.

Hi Lisa!!!

Lisa, I didn't know that Jen, Mike and Lila were on this cruise too. I say the more the merrier and I'm so glad that we'll get to meet. Do Jen and Mike want to do Palo dinner with us? Let me know and I'll book for all of us. We still have to connect our dinner table too. Send me full names and ressie numbers and I'll get that done. Thanks.

With only 109 days left until we sail off, there aren't many posting for this crusie? I wonder if we have the "Wonder" all to ourselves?

....hahahaha.....there are probably a lot of first timers travelling with us and they don't know about the DIS yet. It would be great to have the Wonder all to ourselves though.;)

Well we're all booked for excursions and Palo. We're doing the Catamaran Sail and Reef Snorkel in Nassau, DH John and my nephew Casey are doing Jet Skis on Castaway Cay. Then we're doing Palo dinner with Lisa and Darrell and Jen and Mike. YEAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW, Lisa.....I got the email back from our TA saying that we are linked for dinner.

Is anyone onboard thinking about doing FE gifting? Lisa, I will definitely pick up a few little items for Lila's FE. That should be a lot of fun. ;)

We are concentrating on paying off our 10/17 4 night first. Since that the sea day and that paticular day has Brunch at Palo and it is our 10th Wedding anniversary. Me personally not getting off the ship in Nassau either time, and we really don't think dinner at Palo is all that so we won't be doing that either. All I do know is we both work our rear ends off and will be doing a whole lot of nothing.

DH & I are thinking of doing this one. We have never sailed for less than 7 nights, but it sounds fun to go that time of year (& get in that cruise number 10). lol

Anyone been to Nassau before? We just did the Baltics & found that the places we had shore excursions turned out to be the best times!!!

Smart woman, perfect cruise for reaching your 10th Disney cruise & becoming Platinum. I'm a little jealous.

I've been to Nassau twice. First time was with DH & we took the tour of Atlantis resort & aquarium then walked around the resort till it was time to go back to the ship. We really enjoyed that excursion.

Second time I was cruising solo (needed time away from my 3 teen sons) & I stayed onboard, went to the Rain Forest Room @ the spa, sunbathed by the adult pool, & enjoyed a quiet time in the lounge with my first ever pina colada.

We like sailing 7 or more days ourselves, but sometimes a shorter cruise does make sense especially in your case. I'd say go for it!:thumbsup2

By the way DS & I are doing a B2B where we are doing the 4 day cruise leaving on 10/10/10 & this one leaving on 10/14/10 & these two cruises will make it #4 & #5 disney cruise for me making me "gold".

DW and myself are Gold but my Mom is silver and this cruise will put her to Gold. That is one reason why we are doing this cruise as the first of B2B. So when we go on the 10/17 sailing she will be able to go to the Castaway Club party. We were going to do the same as you then she reminded us there was no Castaway Party on the 3 night sailings. So that is why we are doing this one first. Also it turns out by doing this first our 10th anniversary is on the only sea day. So that is cool if I can get a brunch tonight at midnight.

Ahaha thanks - both of those things you did sound good to me! I'm sort of torn between just walking around for a bit and an excursion -- maybe a "tasting" one.

DS18 is a Soph at a UC in Calif. & will be slaving away with studies, so I don't want to do anything too cool to make him jealous though!! :cool1:

Interesting about no CC party - wonder why? No time? It's sort of fun now that they "celebrate" it more -- it was fun in the old days, but then for a while it was a trivia game that spanned several rooms w/ monitors to fit everyone in & we didn't really go to that more than once... :confused3

But good to know we're not weird for focusing on advancing in CC levels!!! :lmao:

We are definitely signed up now & FE sounds fun to me. I'm not sure how it all gets magically organized, , but if anyone is less challenged in that area than me, maybe.........!

It's just 2 of us DH Gary & me, Bev. (we're from California :hippie:)

Well we do focus a little on advancing levels a little. See we were going to be on the TA in Sept. Because of the government taking over DW profession we had to cancel and she can not vacation till Oct 8. So with the Magic in Drydock B2B was one of only a handful of options. My mom was very adamant about taking at least one cruise. We are also taking the Wonder thru the Panama Canal in Jan. My mom really wanted to be a Gold castaway for that cruise. She remembered the extra deck party they had for CC members and such. So that is why we seem level focus right now. Yes if you look there is no CC party on 3 night cruises. I think it is a raw deal but like you said I think it boils down to time.

This cruise will be number ten for us too. We have done two 4 nights before. We're doing a b2b on this one with the 4 night before it. We have done four 7 nights and an 11 night and a 15 night. At this point, I don't care where I go as long as I'm on the boat!! I'll do them all!!
:laughing::laughing:
