Anyone going Mid-Late Sept wanna share PHOTOPASS?

I believe it is 300 pictures. We might want to double check. I am interested in either group, just let me know what you guys figure out. Thanks!!!

I did a search and found that a June group had over 800 pictures. The group leader got like 3 or 4 cds and she burned a DVD for each person. Seems like their might not be a limit? I'm not sure though.

This is the info page I mentioned earlier by bradk. Very informative (though I wish there were some Disneyland info).

"Part of the genius of the system is that there is no limit to how many cards you can have and combine at a later time. "

"You will get a copy of every PhotoPass image in your account, no matter how many CDs they consume. Each CD will contain a maximum of 300 photos (each CD containing multiple folders with 20 images each), so if you have 480 images in your account, you will receive it on 2 CDs."

For anyone reading that page, as far as I have read, NO ride photos are included on it at Disneyland, and some of those special poses might not be.

Hope that helps.

Alright...so MY group, we have:

me - annieb727 17th-26th
BurnsideMommy 13th-17th
bumbershoot 17th-21st (or so)
snoodledoo 30th-Oct 4th
Mr_UCLA 18th-21st

*so our cost for sure would be $24.00

Maybe:
DisneyMomma81 24th-26th

Another possible group - ariel53098, do you wanna take charge of this one, since you sounded interested? I'm sure we'll find a few more people interested - make sure to count in the cost of discs if you need to buy them, we already havea ton of them, so we don't have to worry about that.
godalejunior 20th-23rd
ariel53098 11th-18th
joeysmommy dates??

DisneyaHolic23 - you may want to look into starting (or joining) an October group. So you will have people with dates the coincide with yours better.

And yes, from what I have heard, there is no limit to the number of pictures...they just all have to be entered into the same account. We could have several CDs - as long as it's one account, we're all good.

joeysmommy will be there 9/23-9/29.
Ariel53098 I can pay you thru Paypal if you prefer or send a check.

Our dates are 9/9 - 9/13, returning home on 9/14. We would love to join a group, but I am not able to be a leader of one at this time (9/14 is my pre-op appt for 9/19 surgery). Many thanks! :goodvibes

I have a separate thread with all the details. I am going to TRY to pm each person who doesn't have a group to join. If I don't PM you, PM me and I'll send you the link or you can look for my post about it. Thanks!

That might be a bit late...I don't want to push it too close...
From what I understand we have 30 days to claim the pics, then 30 days to add stuff to them...with the earliest person starting their trip 13th...that would be past the 30 days.

When would we need to have our photos edited by? (i.e. adding borders etc)

Awesome - there's 6 in our group?! :) Good deal.

So aside from the Main Entrance, Main Street and the Castle (in Disneyland of course), where else should we look for Photopass photographers? I've always avoided them in the past since I thought it was a rip off (never knew about this CD business...)

And, I've barely explored CA - so where abouts in there should we look?

I've read a lot of different tips for WDW, and found those 3 places above in DL, but dunno where else to look.

It also stinks that the ride photos aren't included in this. :(

Yay! I'm glad we got six!

Here are the places that I hear have Photopass photographers:

Disneyland Park
Main Entrance
Town Square
Partners Statue
Castle

DCA
Main Entrance
Sun Plaza/Greetings
Sun Plaza
Hollywood Entrance
Grizzly Peak Waterfall
Tower or Terror Courtyard

There may be others on busier days, but these are the basic locations that are staffed when the park is open.

I believe also that in Critter country with the pooh characters. People have also said they have seen them around some of the areas of Fantasyland and other random places. Also, Mickey & Minnie at their houses in Toontown. I am guessing at Princess Fantasy Faire - but maybe someone can confirm this - just seems like they'd have CMs photographing people there.

I'll PM you guys with Paypal information and my address in case you'd prefer to pay that way!

Not sure if this will help but I found this I think might help you save 20% if you buy the photopass before arrival......

http://www.disneyphotopass.com/previsitcdplan.aspx

Also, might be interested if anyone is doing October....we are about 80% sure we are going (having trouble getting a hotel at a good rate though), Oct 17th thru 20th......also need to find out abit more on how sharing works. Thank you

Ahhh...thanks for the link...I have already done the prepurchase (for the $99.95), but I was looking for the link to post elsewhere.

You may want to start another thread, with October in the title, so that others going at the same time will read it and know.

I know DisneyaHolic23 was interested - whose dates are Oct 10-14.

Hey everyone...here's our list. If you are not on the list below, and you are interested in sharing photopass you will need to find another group - or start one.

me - annieb727 17th-26th
BurnsideMommy 13th-17th
bumbershoot 17th-21st (or so)
snoodledoo 30th-Oct 4th
Mr_UCLA 18th-21st
DisneyMomma81 24th-26th

For everyone else's information...here are some details on sharing the photopass...

You go to the park and have CMs take pics using your photopass card - if you end up with several cards, it's no biggie...just make sure you either take a digital pic of your card numbers or write them down - that way if you lose them, you can still get the pics!!!

Make sure you do NOT enter the photopass numbers into an account. IF You do, you will not be able to combine them on another account. If you are the account leader - you will enter the numbers.

You have 30 days from the date of the pics taken to claim the pics. Then you have 30 days to order the CD. So let's say you have one person going Sept 10-15, and another person going Sept 25-30. You would have until Oct 10th to claim the pics from person one (to ensure getting all pics). And once the first person's numbers are entered, you will have 30 days FROM THE DATE THE FIRST ACCT NUMBER IS ENTERED to order the CD. Let's say the account numbers are all entered on September 30th, that gives you until October 29th to order the CD. This gives you time to add the graphics and borders.

The account leader (organizer), will give the username and password to everyone in the group, so they can go in and add the fun stuff.

It would be good to set deadlines. So everyone knows what date the CD will be ordered. *Now, I need to double check this*, but I believe you can enter the account numbers as they come in...However, keep in mind that this will give the last person less time to make additions to their pictures. Using the example above...say person one enters their numbers into the account on the 16th, and then enters person two's numbers on October 1st. This means that the CD will have to be ordered no later than the 15th of October, giving person two only two weeks to add stuff to their pics! It might be best to wait until you have ALL photopass numbers to give everyone equal the most time.

Then you order the photopass CD. When it arrives, the organizer, will copy the CD(s) and the send it out to everyone. YOu may want to consider the cost of the CDs themselves as well as shipping into the cost.

I hope that helps explain how to share photopass!

I have two silly questions. With all of us sharing a photopass, can I still take advantage of getting a "Photo Book" and/or a "Photo Movie"?

And the CD you send us will only have our pics, right? :rotfl2:

Annie I just sent you a pm. I was mistaken on the group, I was signed up to be in your group! I hope I am still counted as in.

Yes, I believe you can still do that since you'll have the account name and password. Only thing I would ask is when you upload your own photos, to tag your photo file names to have your last name, that way we can easily differentiate whose photos they are - I'm not sure how it works since I haven't tried uploading - but you can probably make folders and stuff too?? Guess we'll see.

ANd the CD will have everyone's pictures. It would just be way to much work to try to separate them for everyone.

Thank you for organizing this, it is appreciated. Now when we were at the parks last and looked at our photos, they were able to add borders that we could not do at home. Can we still add borders and artwork at the park without purchasing the CD there and have them put on our photocard without it affecting what we are doing here?

I have NO idea on this one. Maybe someone else does...I thought you couldn't add borders and stuff at the park...I had heard the one done at the park didn't give the option for adding stuff to them...
