Hey all,
It's about that time to begin the itinerary stage of the planning. Anyone out there going to FL May 6 - 14? What shedules or strategies do you plan on implementing? I hear that the crowds are tolerable so do we get a lil bit of sleep or should we hit the parks before first light??? haha. thnx.

I've stayed at both, and I liked Carribean Beach better. I enjoyed the surroundings, and (I may be wrong) it was easier for me to find my room, and I didnt have to walk as much at CB (I stayed in Jamaica). After a long Disney day, I hated having to walk a long way to my room, or from my room to the main bldg. I must admit that I did enjoy the food better at Port Orleans Riverside, especially the pecan pie. I wrote about POR in my trip report, if you want to scan through it for more details . . .

We'll be there from 4/29 thru May 6!!
But having gone in May several times before, I think the crowds will be tolerable enough so that you won't need to get up at 4:00AM just to get in the Parks!!

We will be there May 2-May 10th. :woohoo: My daughter is going to be performing with her school chours in a high school compitition. :rolleyes1 Have not been in May before and am also trying to put a schedule in place as we speak. Any input and or advice would be greatly appreciated.

We're going 5/13-5/20, 1st time this time of year. I heard crowds will be tolerable. My strategy is to hit a non evening EMH park in the am, and then head to the evening EMH park later in the afternoon or for dinner. We also plan on spending a day at Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach, and a day at Universal/IOA. When we went last March we were able to hit both Universal and IOA in one day, I'm hoping to do the same this time!

We'll be there 5/4-11. Be forewarned that 5/6 is Grad Night, so the Magic Kingdom will be closing early that night.

I like to go in May. It's usually not brutally hot yet and crowds levels are good.

1st timers here ( I was there as a child but dh, dd and ds were never there)We'll be there the 7th-15th, then cruise for 5 days w/RCCL and then 2 more days to spend til we fly home on the 21st. I'm so excited I can hardly stand it!!! We'll be celebrating ds 7th bday, Mother's Day and our 10 year wedding anniversary all in 1 trip!!! My dh keeps telling me to "shut up" because every day when he gets home from work I yap his ear off about the trip-LOL! He told me soon he's gonna let me and the kids go by ourselves, as I'm driving him crazy!!! ( if he had been there before he'd understand my excitement!)

We are going May 3-14th. We really haven't gone all out planning this trip, we have made ADR's for every dinner, and we are traveling on the dining plan. This is our anniversary trip so we are going to be going to parks in the mornings, and taking the afternoon's off, and then going to a nice dinner every evening. I have the fishing excursion scheduled for my DH on one morning, as a surprise.

I just made are air reservations, will make our resort ones tomorrow when we go to AAA. We are going May 4-12 and plan on staying at POFQ. I would be interested in how others are making their "plan of attack". I can't wait! We will tell our daughter tonight!!! Only 100 days till WDW

My family and I went last year May 10-16 for DD 3rd B-Day. It was wonderful not crowded at all. We really didn't stand in line for anything except soarin. Some things we rode got off and got right back on again. The weather was perfect. Plan on going back this May during the same time. Sometimes we didn't get to the parks until 11am -12 noon and i loved being able to do that. Everyone was well rested not rushed and it made for a better day and time for everyone. The new fireworks show will blow you away and cinderellabration out of this world. The costumes were absolutely beautiful.

If it's your b-day be sure to let castmembers know they will give you a special pin to wear. The extra attention made my DD 3rd BDay wonderful Lisa

We are going May 6th-13th and i can't wait my kids have no idea we are going and they won't ,until we get to the airport that day!! : :yay: :yay:We are staying at POR and i have not made my ADR's yet ,but will tonight. We have gone in May before, the weather was nice and crowd level very good. Grad night didn't even bother us.

Hey fellow Longhorn :goodvibes

We are going May 4-11. Getting up early, taking naps then heading back in the evenings.

Planning to avoid all parks w/extra hours. We tried that at DL on trip to Rose Bowl this month and found that (at least in the mornings) with only a few rides open, we were still standing in line :confused3

I hope that our trip to WDW this May is as magical as the trip to DL -- WHAT A GAME !!!! :woohoo: :cool1:

We are there from May 4th to the 10th at CBR and I can't wait! I can relate to the poster who said that they tell hubby everyday the Disney stuff when he gets home. I have been in the same mode and I know my hubby is starting to tune me out! LOL! I am a planner, so it is more interesting to me I know!

We have all of our ADR's set, so I am happy about that. We added a day to the trip this week (we were going the 5th, but the flights were already all sold out so I added a day and am now hoping for a Ding! for the 4th!). We are doing Cindy's breakfast, 1900 Park Fare breakfast, and Crystal palace breakfast. We also got the Fantasmic dinner package for our MGM day. I made ADR's for Wolfgang Puck and Whispering Canyon dinners too.

I already started buying scrapbooking supplies - is that crazy or what?!! LOL! We haven't been on a real family vacation since my 7yo DD turned ONE! It's a big deal for us!! My kids have never flown either and DD knows nothing about it. My DS who is 3 has never been on any trip except a 2 day trip to Niagara Falls for our anniversary when he was a baby. I just can't imagine when it actually HAPPENS and I am not just planning it anymore. LOL!

May 5 - 15, never been in May, looking forward to warmer weather than our early March trips!

May 7-17, for us!

Anyone have tips on what the weather is like in May? We're from Mississippi so we're used to humidity! :)

We might be there on May 6th because it'll be my 21st birthday! :bday: pixiedust: :cake:
If we decide to take a birthday trip, we plan on going a little longer than the usual 4 days/4 nights. :)

We've never gone in May, so we're looking forward to it.

Sorry I don't have any strategies since we only go to Epcot and never have a plan, we just go with the flow. :cloud9: I only plan our ADRs.
