Just wanted to know if anyone is excited as me that Disney brought back free dining in the fall. It seems a good majority of people are going to be vacationing then and that will be less crowds in May :cool1:

I know exactly what you are feeling.. I am like.. bummer.. why couldn't they do this in May! But I am still excited about our May trip!!!! We were lucky enough to get free dining last year!

I'm going in October and I'm excited about free dining. Hoping people move their trips up a couple of weeks!(Just kidding-OK not really!)

:Pinkbounc My daughter and I are so excited for our May trip. So is Ddad, Dmom, Dbrother25, Dsister23, Dbrother18.... :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:

We were trying to fit in a May trip, but my TA gave me a heads up about the possibility of the free dining, so we decided not to go in May.

Glad we waited. :)

Like psychodisney, I am excited about the free dining because I am going in Oct and have seen people say they decided to change their trip dates! :thumbsup2

Yep, I'm going the first week in May and am also pretty happy about Disney offering the free dining for the fall. We weren't planning on doing the dining plan anyway and I'm somewhat hopeful that some people may postpone their trip until the fall to take advantage of that offer. :thumbsup2

Free dining is back??
When is it???
Is there a link or thread telling details?

Thanks!! :)

Well we are going in May but I think it is going to be more crowded than usual. No stds, pool views at AKL, nothing at CSR, and alot of the other resorts I checked were full/only offered concierge etc. I checked both reg and AP rooms....

Call me crazy, but the free dining only means, adding one more trip. We are there 2 weeks in May, then 2 weeks in October, but seriously thinking of a long weekend mid-August (maybe 5 nights--my husband says I don't know what a long weekend means!) I have to decide today.

UPDATE: I couldn't stand passing up on the free dining and just booked, yet another trip for mid-August. Just 4 nights, but it will help me get through the 6 month wait from May to Oct.

We are going May 27 - June 5 and are so excited! I am a little bit :hmghost: GREEN :hmghost: with envy about the free dining in Aug and Sept because that would have saved us alot of $$$, but that is ok. LOL :thumbsup2

edited for spelling

Our family of 5 adults and 4 teens are going the first wk in May and the excitement is really beginning to build!

I am hoping some people will change from May to the free dining months. From what I can see there is very limited availability from May20-28 when I will be at the world. I made my ADR's awhile ago and even that wasnt that easy. OK I know it is Memorial day weekend but schools will still be in and the hotels are still almost full.

YES! We're going in May with an AP discount, which is better for us than free dining, had we had the option.

That and it is nice to read how happy people are with the free dining!

We are going in May for a week starting on the 14th. I have been bummed because first we could not get the free water park hoppers and now they dare to offer free dining!

I never thought that it just might tempt people to cancel their May trips and leave more room in the parks for us! :thumbsup2 :cool1:

I have already started to pack! May can not get here soon enough!

I don't think May people will cancel, I think they might be induced to book another trip.

Also, I looked again today even tried AAA rates and there is not much to be had except the $300+ a night rooms...kind of scary. Our nice and peaceful May secret is out!

:cool1: I am so excited we are going Sept 14 -18 and when I read this thread I called Disney and they took off the dining cost. WOO HOO!

I'm going in May too. I don't know if I would want to go during the free dining time. That's prime hurricane season. Which is probably why Disney is offering the free dining. After last years hurricane season people were probably a little bit leary of going down there this year.
