Im so very ready to be there
I understand completely. Everyone here is counting the minutes until we leave on June 1. Frankly, I think I'm more excited every succeeding year we go, even more so than the kids or my wife. When will I grow up? (Answer: Never. There will always be a 10-year-old kid inside this aging body.)
Often I must remind myself that we go to Florida every year primarily to see my folks, which is what we do first. Then we give them a break from our family insanity by going to Universal or WDW. We return to their house for the last few days before we head back to Texas.

Today our youngest child turned 7 years old. He wanted breakfast in bed because that's what we do for my wife on special occasions. So, we honored his wish and sang "Happy Birthday" as we served him his flaky biscuits and cream gravy, crisp bacon, Florida orange juice, ice cold milk, and a few plump, fresh strawberries. He was delighted!

The little guy confided in me that he might get up enough nerve to go on the Flying Unicorn, which his 8-year-old sister rode last year when she turned 7. I can't keep our 11-year-old daughter off any of the rides.

Oh, heck, I wish we could leave for Florida this coming Tuesday instead of two weeks hence!
We'll look for the lime green ribboned stroller or backpack!
