Go Texas!! Last year at Disney, I was suprised at the massive amount of Texas plates. Funny how far Texans will drive! I guess we are used to driving for long periods of time!!

June 23-25th HRH Club Level -

with two 15 year old boys who are hoping to meet some girls there!! (at which point they will probably run away, but I have to let them plan don't I?)

Hi JoniGirl  Well we are not driving. I would be insane by the time I got there  2 hours of flying for us then the party begins!! Are you close to Frisco?? We are taking my niece and nephew with us--they are from Frisco. Their parents are joining us on week 2.

My wife agrees with you, 4greatboys. We have three young (D11, D8, S7) children and have made the drive a few times. Not this summer though. Flying keeps the agony to a minimum, says my wife.

However, with that said, I enjoy driving the van (not at these current gas prices), and make it a two-day trip. On the first full day we stop at Gulfport, MS where I used to live. By the evening of the second day we are 23 miles from the entrance to DisneyWorld . . . at my parents' house.

Sometimes we've started out around noon and driven to Vicksburg, MS. We make a late start the next day because we tour The Battlefield, and slide in to either Crestview or Marianna for the second night. If we start early enough the next morning, I can get to my parents' house in time for a round of golf in the afternoon.

No matter the mode of transportation, I'll make the trip any time!

Welcome to the Dis Flexan!! What day are you checking into the RPR resort?? We may be crossing paths there. We will be there June 4-7.

What day are you checking into the RPR resort??

We should be checking in the afternoon of Sunday, June 6. I'll be the bearded guy who "looks like a terrorist," as my wife often says. She told me to wear easily removed shoes and not to look around furtively when we are at the airport.

We have late evening (8:30pm) reservations at Tchoup Chop. I'm going to starve myself all day in order to sample everything on the menu . . . and/or the beverage list.

LOL okay I will be looking for a bearded-terroist looking guy. We are doing IOA Sunday, and eating at Nascar. I usually have lime green ribbon on our stroller and/or backpack. Our time is getting her pretty quickly......Im so very ready to be there :teleport:

We will be driving in from Pa on the 19th and arriving at the PBH on the 20th. Will be there for 5 days/nights. Can't wait. Our third year in a row. 2002- HRH, 2003- RPR and 2004-PBH YEAH!

Im so very ready to be there
I understand completely. Everyone here is counting the minutes until we leave on June 1. Frankly, I think I'm more excited every succeeding year we go, even more so than the kids or my wife. When will I grow up? (Answer: Never. There will always be a 10-year-old kid inside this aging body.)

Often I must remind myself that we go to Florida every year primarily to see my folks, which is what we do first. Then we give them a break from our family insanity by going to Universal or WDW. We return to their house for the last few days before we head back to Texas.

:cake:Today our youngest child turned 7 years old. He wanted breakfast in bed because that's what we do for my wife on special occasions. So, we honored his wish and sang "Happy Birthday" as we served him his flaky biscuits and cream gravy, crisp bacon, Florida orange juice, ice cold milk, and a few plump, fresh strawberries. He was delighted!

:scared:The little guy confided in me that he might get up enough nerve to go on the Flying Unicorn, which his 8-year-old sister rode last year when she turned 7. I can't keep our 11-year-old daughter off any of the rides.

:hyper:Oh, heck, I wish we could leave for Florida this coming Tuesday instead of two weeks hence!

We'll look for the lime green ribboned stroller or backpack!:magnify:

:bday: :bday: Happy 7th birthday!!! :bday: :bday:

My 2nd ds turned 14 last Friday. Like you, Im the one most excited about going. Everyone else has a good time (I can plan a mean vacation ;) :teeth: ) but they just dont get as excited as I do. My oldest 2 ride everything and now my 3rd ds is 4 and over 40 inches. Our last visit he rode Spiderman, saw T3 and at Disney rode ToT, Dinosaur and BTMRR (his very favorite). The baby is just 2 so a few more years before he hits the big stuff.

JoniGirl - Where are you staying? It looks like we might be there around the same time. We're staying at RPR.

We are coming from Arlington. Unfortunately we couldn't get direct flights and will have to go through Miamii going and New York! returning.

hey all you Texans!!:bounce: :bounce:

Anyone gonna be at HRH June 8-10? I cannot wait. I still have got to get my disney reservations set. I have changed them so many times but will not dare touch my HRH reservations. lol!!

We leave 5/29 flying from IAH.:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :hyper: :hyper:

We'll be at Disney one night and then PBH Club from 6/11 through 6/13. It's our first time staying at Universal my kids are very excited.
