I am not leaving until VERY late on the 9th (maybe even early morning 10th)...I work nights so I'd rather drive at night......but we are 2 not 1.

goooood afternoon englishrose and anyone else reading! how crazy am i...i just took over control of a fridge swap that i'm participating in for my feb trip. i'm gonna be a busy lady...leading a photopass swap in november too! my goodness, why do i feel the need to do everything?

Anyone got ideas for keeping stuff cool without a fridge??

you could send down a cooler as a piece of luggage, empty of course. then when you get there, fill it with ice, and keep draining it in the tub, and adding more ice. then when you leave, you can use it to bring home any souvies that take up too much room, or i always find that somehow my stuff expands and takes up more room on the way home, so it's like an extra suitcase.

or if you don't want to bring a cooler, you could keep the sink full of ice and put a few things in it at a time. or even use one of the garbage cans as an ice chest.

otherwise, check out all the pop fridge swaps in the sticky and see if any of them have your week available. i feel like i've seen some that have openings in feb. i'll go take a look around now.

Thanks Marsh.. I posted on the first thread as it looked like the perfect spot as the person left on the 8th and that's when I arrive! Are the fridges heavy to carry to your room?

i'm pretty sure you need to borrow a luggage cart to take the fridge to the room, since i think it's too heavy to carry. but if you're doing an in person swap, one of you guys can get the luggage cart and decide where to meet. they may even just bring it to your room at your designated meeting time (which you will discuss with that person). i know it sounds pretty complicated, but i think it's easier when the swap is done in person.

Thanks Marsh I thought they might let me use a cart. If I get the fridge from the swap I want she leaves on the 8th the day I arrive so it should be perfect!!

that really is good timing! i know with mine, i have to pick it up at luggage services, and no one has asked for it after me yet, so i'll have to put it back into the same place. i'm sure more people will show up to my thread needing a fridge though
