Hi just wondering if any of yis are heading during free dining. If so how did you avail of the free dining I heard it's already to UK travellers is this true? I tried to book on Disneyworld.co.uk but couldnt get free dining ANy ideas?? thanks

Hi,
we're going in August. The free dining plan for 2008 was offered to UK residents for a limited time only around Sept last year for those visiting Aug-Sept 2008.
It may become available on the US Disney site some time in the spring.

ok thanks. Would I be able to avail of it even though I'm not from the US if its made available again to them then?

Yes. I am going during free dining. See Travel City Direct for a good deal if that suits.

P.S. Gaynor when are you booking your ADRs?
I am going to CBR on the 10th August.

Mick00 i would post your question on te US Dining board they will be able to give you more acurate details,I know in the past they have done a sort of bounceback thing where if you booked as you were leaving you got Free Dining but I don't know about the equivalent to the UK offer. Our offer was for bookings made from Aug- early November for stays beginning mid August -26th Sept. I know the changes to DDP are not going down well at the moment so it will be worth keeping an eye on it.

Hi epcotfanrod
we arrive at POFQ 10th August, now this will be the first time onsite and using the dining plan so if I'm right and you can book adr's 180 days before it will be the 12th Feb if I've counted right. omg :scared1: didn't realise it was so near. Haven't clue yet where we want to eat :confused3

Thanks Gaynor.

I am thinking about these restaurants for DDP. What does everyone think?

Table service Meals Location Vouchers Meal

Sci-fi dine in theatre MGM 1 lunch
Hollywood Brown Derby MGM 2 dinner
San Angel Inn Epcot 1 dinner
Le Cellier Epcot 1 dinner
Coral Reef Epcot 1 dinner
Shutters Caribbean B.R. 1 dinner
Raglan Road Downtown Disney 1 dinner
Boma Animal Kingdom 1 dinner
Aloha Dinner Show Polynesian 2 dinner
Teppan Edo Epcot 1 dinner
Whispering Canyon cafe Wilderness Lodge 1 dinner
Grand Floridian Cafe G. Floridian Res. 1 breakfast

Gaynor if you're staying on-site you can start making your ADR's at 180+ 10 days so that's even closer!:scared1:
Epcot fan look at some of the reviews on the Dining forum that's what i'm basing my ADR's on - the Kona cafe at the Poly gets good reviews. We also like eating at some of the restaurants in LBV so are going to save some of our TS credits for the Signature restaurants.

I am going in august (10th) and am trying to find reasonably priced airfares for 5 adults. Couldn't do it last year as the company was making 125 people redundant and didn't dare do anything until I knew my job wasn't on the list to go.

hi

we are going this september, we booked direct with disney staying at por, with the disney dining and ultimate ticket. this cost £1200. plus the flights which we got at a special rate with expedia for £1500. making a total of £2700 for five of us for 2 weeks. virgin and cosmos were also doing the dining plan offer.

regards

We all enjoyed Sci-fi, Le Cellier, Boma last year. We thought Aloha was good-contrary to the bad ratings it gets-make sure you ask for 'section 2' seating. As it on your '9th' day you should be able to book nice and early using 180 days plus 10 available for on-site guests. We had dinner at Grand Floridian Cafe and were disappointed-worst meal-but this could have been because 1900 Park fare was closed at the time. We're trying San Angel & whispering Canyon Cafe this year also.
