Anyone going 7 Nt. Eastern October 18, 2003?

My husband and I along with my 8 & 9 year old daughters are going on our first Disney cruise Oct. 18, 2003. My parents are going along with us. I have just finished a year of treatments for cancer and we are celebrating the end! We had one scheduled for last year and had to cancel for health reasons so this year seems all the more special! Any tips on what to have reserved ahead of time would be helpful. We will be on the Eastern Cruise. Who else is going? How do you get the countdown posted? Thanks, Heather

Hi, Heather--

My husband and my two grown sons will be cruising with me on the October 18th Eastern. Ed & I live in Pennsylvania, and my sons both live in California. We are looking forward to spending the week with them relaxing and enjoying ourselves.

There is a huge thread of DIS-ers who will be on this cruise, so keep an eye out for it.

Everyone on these boards is very willing to answer questions. To start you off, I'll say that you can do lots of shore excursions, or you can do no excursions and you will still have a great vacation and enjoy yourselves.

Ed & I have done several cruises (both Eastern & Western), but this will be the first time either of my sons has been on a big ship. Should be interesting.

Thanks for the help. We are so excited to go. I 've been reading lots of the threads for this trip. Sounds like people like to go a little crazy. We want to go and have fun but still make it a family trip. No what I mean?We are counting down!! Heather
