Anyone go to Atlantis Beach Day?

Just looking at the excursions and noticed that they have a Atlantis Beach Day. I see that it is a little pricey. I was just wondering if ayone did this and how was it. I figured with 3 kids my DH can stay at the beach for s little while as I will go the the casino for a short time . Thanks for your help.

I would skip it for the money. We did this excursion in 4/03. The beach you get to use had very rough waves the day we were there. Even the adults could not stand in the water, they were knocked down. We ended up covered in sand everywhere, it was very uncomfortable. They finally let us go over to the lagoon side, but we were told not to use the chairs they were reserved for the paying Atlantis guests. There is a fair amount of walking to get to the beach as well if you have small children. I have heard good things about the Blue Lagoon excursion, but have never been on it.

We would never go back to Atlantis after that trip.

Search the boards for more feedback and look into other excursions.

I have booked the Atlantis day in May but i'm having second thoughts about it. I'm thinking of staying on the ship and having a spa treatment and enjoying the pool. Has anyone else done this excursion or has an idea for a different one?

Another option is renting a room at the comfort suites. You have complete access to Atlantis resort, pool, slide, beach, etc. I am doing it in July.
