Anyone get through for free dining yet today?

I got lucky.. I waited 40 minutes but my CM gave me the choice of ASMu ASMo or ASSp.. no POP which is where I was. I picked All Star Movies 8/25-8/31

they won't let you just add it on. we have 3 rooms at pop too. they want us to switch to sports. frustrating.

yup! I got through but we had to switch to all star movies. No problem really, i would have been dissappointed if I had to switch to all star sports tho. But we stayed at all star movies last spring and we loved it.... i had wanted the pop just for a change of pace really....

OMG!! I was on hold maybe 2 minutes short of an hour, got a CM on the line, and then she HUNG UP ON ME!!!! On hold again.

Took us 40 minutes, but we finally got through. We were originally planning on Pop in a Preferred Pool View but then were almost convinced to switch to PO French Quarter in a Garden View since it would be less than a $200 difference.

Disney made the final decision n easy one for us since Pop had nothing at all available for our dates (8/27-9/6). The CM said the All Stars were available though. So WOO HOO!!! I got an extra 2 days and bumped up to a Mod for our next trip...didn't think I would get both out of my hubby. But then again I did agree to going a month earlier than we usually go so hoping crowds won't be too much. LOL

All booked now, cast member called guest services and what ever they did they were able to apply FD to my Res.

Might be your room catogory. The only thing coming up for standards in the moderate catagory is CSR and CBR. Same with the values limited availibility. It seems like they are trying to fill everything they don't sell well.

I'm not saying the royal rooms at POR don't sell well. But for me to pay another 300.00 for a room makes my FD not seem so free in the end. So it is a standard room for us. We really wanted POR but I don't want to pay for a room category I don't want. So we went with CBR. It isn't my first choice but FD saves us 1200.00.

I actually think this is smart on Disney's part. Free dining to fill rooms that don't fill on their own.. makes sense to me. Yep..I wanted a value and I'm in a Moderate now.. seems like it worked!

Oh no!!! We were on hold for 40 minutes before getting through and had my oldest freaking out about not wanting to be late for school. LOL Doesn't she know how important Free Dining is???

I booked a standard at CBR - so I am booked for free dining! But....CBR wasn't on my list. #1 was POP, #2 was ASMo, #3 was POFQ, #4 was POR and #5 was ASMu.

I've been on hold for 40 minutes...want to see if I can switch.

But if not - we're still going to celebrate our Milestones Trip!

Well...I talked to a wonderful CM after being on hold for 45 minutes, but the only Value availalble right now is AsSP, no rooms at POFQ and no standard rooms at POR. For now we're booked at CBR 9/24-10/1 but I might try to change later this week.

We're goin' to Disney World!

Got just what we wanted! POR two RGRs standard view 8/26-9/1!

There was only upgraded views and RGRs available, I was happy standard view was available for the RGRs.

I called at 7am exactly, was quoted 45 wait, waited just over 50 minutes, had a very helpful CM, was off the phone by 8.

One hour of my life? Totally worth it.

I feel bad I got taken care of so quickly lol.

I called as the clock switched from 6:59 to 7:00 eastern.

Changed my booked room from POP to POR for the first time ever. Got the free dining. And was off the phone around 7:18.

I couldnt believe how easy it was (reading this thread I see I was lucky)

However, 193 days till 10 days 9 nights at POR with my DS4 and DW !!! OMG Cant wait, first time ever not being at a value or off site.
