Anyone get the Alamo car with the Disney package?

I booked my trip for the family Disney trip (ASM suite, May 27-Jun 5) and I was looking at getting a convertible , because we like the ability to come and go when we want to. It will cost me $880 to rent for the whole trip from the Orlando airport (MCO) BUT if I add the convertible to my package on the Disney website, it only cost $611 and that includes the "Collision Damage Waiver Program"? Am I missing something?


The Collision Damage Waiver Program is only $45 per week. My Geico insurance covers rentals (I checked) but for $45\wk, I'll pay it to prevent my insurance from going up in case of an accident.

How does it work? Is this like a Prepay? Any info on how this work? Any info on the Collision Damage Waiver Program (aka Insure America)?

Does this mean I could do online check-in just go to the garage and drive way?

I've never done this as we never do a package. But I would assume that the car rental would need to be paid when your final package payment is due. Isn't that 45 days from arrival date? You probably should call Disney to get all the answers you need since no one has replied here.
