Anyone get discount for Christmas week?????

Hi!!

We will be staying Dec 16th- Jan 3rd and reallllllllly need a discount for Christmas week!!!!!!!!!!! I already have the 40% discount applied from the 16th-24th but I am not having any luck beyond those dates!!!!! Has anyone been lucky enough to get any kind of discount besides the Free Dining????

Were like you, we have a discount up to the 24th, but still waiting to see if any other discounts surface.

No discount for me. Staying Dec. 26th through Jan. 3rd. Booked at full rack rate Hoping for any type of discount. They still have plenty of rooms available which I am surprised at. Here is hoping.

I don't think you will see one for that week since it is the most popular week of the year. The resorts will fill without a discount so there is no need for them to offer one.

not Disney owned, but I was able to get the Dolphin with the AAA rate thru the 28th, and when I checked online it was available even on NYE!
We needed room only for an 18th arrival and for the non package easier resstrictions/cancelation...checked into CSR as they ahve Q beds...since discount ends the 24th, we did better by choosing the Dolphin...we have 149 for the first half of our stay ( same as CSR due to having a 3rd adult in Disney age) 186 for our second. CSR was 149 then up to (I think)224 and 234 for after the 24th. We may do a slpit, but the location of the Dolphin kinda trumps CSR to is, and the food options of the boardwalk, closer resorts in walking distance..plus we ahve ALWAYS had an awesome stay at the Dolphin and earning points for free nights ain't too bad either!

Lack of room discounts that week is the reason that free dining is so much better of a deal for my family. When I priced it out, the rack rate from 12/25 - 12/29 made the winter room discount not as good as free dining which DOES carry through to 12/29 (we arrive 12/17 so we get free dining for our whole trip).

Not sure what dates you selected, but I just tried 12/26/2009 thu 1/3/2010 for the Dolphin on their web site. The cheapest AAA rate was $314.93
