Anyone get a Weird Phone Call?

Received a call from 888-206-8010 from a Scott Kaufman, left a message about changes regarding our membership. I called member services instead just to make sure everything was normal with my membership. They said they understood my concern and the gentleman I spoke with, Curtis, said he could not find a Scott Kaufman in the system. I was also told that if Disney was trying to contact me, they would only use their first name. Hope this info helps anybody that may have received a similar call.

The above phone number is Scott's direct line.

About a month or so ago, I got a call from someone asking me if I was interested in renting or selling my DVC contracts. I thought it was very odd. I said no and hung up but I did wonder how my number got disseminated as a DVC member. I've only bought from Disney and Timeshare Store (and the call was not from either of them) so perhaps they gave it out somehow.

Almost certainly one of the boiler room outfits who will "sell" or "rent" your timeshare for very high prices if only you'll give them a fee up front, usually $399-$499. They get the info from public records and other similar outfits.
