Anyone frustrated with the job search?

I have been unemployed for a couple months now.
I'm almost 30, and also still really don't know what I want to do with my life.

I married a wonderful man in April, and we are very happy, but I do need to find a job to help out with the financial situation.
I have worked in retail sales for years, along with some banking. I love working with people, and know that I couldn't do a "desk" job where I didn't have interaction with lots of different people.

My dream has always been to work at Disneyland or Disney World. However, right now we can't afford to move to CA, and FL is just so far from our family so neither of those seems do-able.

I've been looking for jobs around here (Seattle area) and just can't seem to find anything. Is anyone else out there frustrated?

I wish that I knew what I wanted to do. I do have a degree in Psychology and Sociology, but no "real world" experience in either of those fields. I'd love to go back to school, but we can't afford that either.

Sorry..thanks for listening to me vent my frustrations!
Now to figure out what I was meant to do!

Lisa

Sorry about your job situation. My mom is going thru this now. Her company let them go in December after 27 years.Moved the division overseas.

Does your state have an unemployment office? Most places have job postings that you could check out. Or look into an employment agency; that is how I came across my job.

My SIL has the same type of degree (psychology) and she is looking into working with children in school. They just moved to Georgia and she is temporarily working at T.J. Maxx.

Good luck in your job search.

Congratulations on your wedding also.

My poor sister and her husband have been looking for jobs for about 7 months now! Every interview they were either overqualified or just never heard back from them.

She did finally find one and starts next week but they are on the verge of financial ruins! So sad!!:(

I feel your pain and hope you find something that makes you happy soon. I just sent out 30 resumes and cover letters last week, so there's a lot of me just swimming around the country hoping to take root somewhere!!
