that knows what to expect from US Air in next few months. I heard they are going to make schedule changes and do some price restructuring. Does anyone know what to expect? I am hoping for a good sale. I need to buy tickets for January to MCO. I've been waiting for the prices to go down. I'm not sure how long to wait.

I lived in PIT for many years till I moved here in Dec. 03. I don't think you have anything to worry about yet with USAirways.

If you are finding good prices now I would book it. I doubt you will see the price drop if any since there really isn't any competition for Florida especially during the winter.

From what I've heard, they are not cutting flights to Orlando. It has to be one of their best markets, it's always full. I think updated schedules are supposed to come out mid-August.

I heard Air Tran is going to be adding a second daily non-stop. That should help keep prices down, some competition.

Wondering if our flight will be cancelled for December. Not thrilled with the rate we got (around $260). We wanted to book now to get the 8 am flight. They don't have as many early flights as they used to.

I doubt you will see many changes on the FL routes.

I, too, am a little nervous about US Airways' PIT situation. But, I bet they'll still have 3-4 daily non-stops to MCO after the downsizing. From what I've heard, AirTran is a really good airline (many of my neighbors have been flying them to MCO), and I'm booked with them for my next trip. Maybe give them a try!

We have flown Airtran twice to MCO. I have no problems with using them again. But have you noticed that they have a new level of pricing? They now offer a higher price with the ability to choose your seat at purchase. This makes me wonder how easy it is to get 4 seats together at check in.

Right now you can fly US Air from PIT to MCO for $118 during the last two weeks of Aug and the month of Sept. I was hoping to see these kinds of prices for January.
