Anyone from Lynchburg, VA??

My company is moving our operation to a small town just south of Lynchburg, VA and I was wondering about the area. We are going up first of next week to look around and could use some advice from people that live there as to what to look at and areas to look at. Not sure we want to move, but may have to until the economy really picks back up. I just hate to move further from WDW instead of closer.

I live in Roanoke, about 45 min. from Lynchburg. What town is your company moving to?

I live here....feel free to PM me for my email address and I will tell you all about it. South of Lynchburg will be Campbell County, this is cheaper than living in the city but if you have kids you will want to stay in the Brookville school district. Rustburg district leaves a lot to be desired.

Our plant is in Altavista, but I know it is too small for me to live there.

my supervisor is from Alta Vista...he drives to Forest everyday, its about a 35 min drive for him which isnt bad. I wouldnt live IN Alta Vista, they have strange tax laws...you pay city AND county taxes.
