Anyone from Leola PA, I'd love restaurant suggestions. We're attending a wedding at the Leola Resort and Inn and having lunch at the Cork Restaurant. We're on a budget but will splurge if you twist my arm, we love bar& grills and gourmet spots.

Leola is actually in the Lancaster area...not too much going on in Leola. There are several good restaurants in Lancaster...Iron Hill Brewery, Lancaster Brewing Company, Rachel's Creperie, Annie Bailey's Irish Pub, The Penn Square Grille in the convention center in the Marriott...and if you are more in the mood for Lancaster home cooking, Miller's Smorgasboard, or anything along route 30. Guess it depends what you are in the mood for. The Cork and Cap will be a great place to have lunch!

Thanks for the suggestions. I really like the idea of going to a Brewery.

If you are staying at the Inn at Leola Village, Restaurant Mazzi (on-site) has a good reputation. We love Gibraltars (not cheap) and JJ Jeffries. When I am going to a new area, I usually look at restaurant.com and check reviews on Yelp and urban spoon. Here is a link to some of the options. http://www.padutchcountry.com/dining/index.asp

Shady Maple Smorgasbord for good Penn Dutch food. The Smorgasbord is huuugggeee. And it is just a few miles down the road from Leola in Blue Ball. Check their website for pricing and the daily dinner feature(I know Tues night is Seafood night). And their breakfast is really good.
They also have a grocery store next door. It has some of the best baked goods. And their homemade fresh sausage is delicious(Apple is my favorite).

Also, Yoder's in New Holland is a smaller Smorgasbord but is one of my favorites(and it's cheaper than Shady Maple).

Bloomfield Square is a good diner. They are owned by a Greek family. So they feature a lot of Greek dishes.

Oh, and just a heads up. Any Mennonite run establishment will be closed on Sunday(incl Shady Maple and Yoders). I lived in Lanc Co most of my life and would still manage to forget that.:cool1:

Actually, Yoder's is open on Sundays now!

Shady is closed on Sundays. Lickety Split in New Holland is great for lunch and has super ice cream. New Holland is about six miles from Leola.

You are kidding! Did they sell the store/restaurant or something? I used to live in Terre Hill and we would hit up Yoder's buffet about once a month. I haven't been there in a couple of years.

How long has Lickety Split been there? That looks like a charming ice cream shop. I'll have to stop there next time I'm home.
