Still haven't booked my brothers car hire. We booked ages ago with the Hertz deal, unfortunately no longer available. So dates are 24/7 to 11/8. Best rate so far is £415 with Usrentacar or £420 with Holiday Autos plus 15% cash back. Will probably book that if don't find anything better in next day but thought I would check with you all first.
Thanks

Still not booked mine for August 1st, almost did last week but decided to wait for a better offer, I often don't book til a few weeks from travelling.

Is it intermediate SUV?
This link will make it £351 less 15% Quidco = £298.
If you had booked last week they had a £21 code (before cashback) off USA so you would have paid £280

Prices keep dropping for my dates but in no rush to book yet.

Just noticed code "WEATHER15" is working again for £15 off, that brings cost down to £336 less 15% Quidco = £285

Cashback never guaranteed but £336 should be cheapest around anyway, cashback would be a bonus, never had a problem getting it myself.

i am also anxious to get our car booked for august , hope u find something

i am just looking now and am not really sure what size we need the intermediate suv is showing 5 people 2 small bags and 2 big bags but the standard size suv also has the same reccommended people and bags??

i have used the link u posted wayne but not the code and the intermediate suv is coming up at £284.75p , where do i then enter the code?

do you think this car will be big enough??

also i know u have told me before but what is the toll road policy when using holiday autos?? where can i find the tariff ??

thanks for all your help, you have made what i thought was going to be an impossible trip happen , saved so much on the travel agent prices we were getting :flower3:

Toll I believe is around $4(us) each way from airport to parks. They do have lanes that make change.

I wouldn't want to get more than 2 larges cases plus hand luggage in an int SUV (I drive a jeep at home so know the size well) especially as you are planning a road trip. You would be better off with a standard SUV or 7 seat mini van.

Holidays Autos use Alamo who are one of the better ones for using the Sunpass lanes however we still use the cash lanes around Orlando however Miami is cash free I believe.

Rental Car charges for using Sunpass

We once had to upgrade from a standard SUV as we could not fit our luggage in it. We traveled with 3 large suitcases and x3 hand luggage that year. Since then we either have a 7 seater or send two people and the luggage on magical express. For anything more than 2 large cases, unless you only have 2 passengers, you need a big vehicle.

Once you click on which car you want there is a section for a code under the options.
We had a 7 seater SUV last month to do our road trip, that was for 3 adults. Wouldn't want to do it anything much smaller really, possibly standard SUV would be OK but intermediate doesn't have a lot of luggage space. 7 seater minivan would be OK either.

the standard suv says it only fits the same amount of bags and people as the intermediate ? is it just more spacious

the full size suv was way more expensive (

i supose teh advantage of teh mini van is i can split the kids up if they are fighting

The standard SUV has more space in the back for certain and the actual seating area is less cramped too.

It depends on model you get but as Tracy says Std SUV should have more luggage space and more passenger space.

Thanks, just caught up with this and booked my brothers car at £336. He is very pleased with the price. Haven't told him about cash back and will be a bonus if we get it and I'll surprise him. I have literally booked everything for him and as its his first trip have been trying to get best deals possible so that the price won't put him off coming again.
