Anyone flying into lakeland?

What are you doing once you get there? Are you going to rent a car and if so from where? or taxi? or car service? other?

We are - in January. Flying from Plattsburg NY to Lakeland. We are renting from Hertz in the terminal.
I have emailed the airport a few times and they assure me that by the time that route is up and running, the rental car companies will be in the terminal and open for business at flight times. I see now that Hertz at the airport has some very strange hours - likely to accommodate incoming and outgoing flights for Direct Air that are flying now.
