Hi, I have just had a look at the Globespan prices for next September and can go Business class for around the same price as Virgin PE. The drive isn't a problem as we tend to drive from Yorkshire to Gatwick anyway.

I did a quick search on the boards and noticed that quite a few people have booked, but just wondered if anyone has actually been yet and what it was like.

I assume that you only get seat back TV's in Business class? Is there an age restriction on using the lounge at Glasgow? What was the food and service like?

Thanks, Sue.

Hi Sue
There has been a few threads on Globespan try this one it gives a few links on there that might help you. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1161049&referrerid=&highlight=globespan

I considered doing this myself, I Did Gatwick from Yorkshire Xmas day and returned 2nd Jan. Going down was great nothing on the road did it in exactly 3 hours but coming back was the problem just had to keep stopping thru tiredness so took 5 hours.
OK, now Glasgow, not done it myself but my brother has it took 5 hours on a good run so what about coming back when tired? dont know if its something I want to attempt.
My next trip is in 3 weeks from Heathrow, not looking forward to getting back off a 10 hour flight from LA then the drive back up home.

I flew with Globespan in July. We were lucky with the traffic and it only took us 35 minutes to get to Glasgow airport ;) We were in the no-frills section and it was fine for us. Service was excellent, cabin crew were the nicest people I have come across on a plane. We were so happy with the service we have booked to go with them again next year.

We flew no frills with Globespan last month and it was a great experience, everything went smoothly from start to finish. Both flights were on time and service was excellent, cabin crew were very friendly and the seats were comfortable with plenty of legroom. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or book to fly with them again.
