Hi Guys! We flew with Virgin last year and were not impressed..............so are considering trying BA. Has anyone flown with them? What were your impressions? How do they compare to Virgin?

We got a comp upgrade on BA last year to Toronto to Business Class. It was wonderful!!! Lay flat beds, but the seats closest to the windows are a little awkward to get into and out of, as you have to step over the ends of the seat next to you (sounds confusing, but I'm sure you'll find a diagram on Seatguru.com). The food, crew and surroundings were really good.

I've only ever flown PE with Virgin in the past but trying Business in September with BA for the first time.

When researching it all the general consensus seemed to emphatically be that PE with Virgin was noticably better than World Traveller+ with BA. On the other hand, Club World probably just had the edge compared to Virgin UC but that this was a lot closer in opinion.

I have flown Virgin PE & UC and BA Club World. I would say BA Club World is better than Virgin PE but not as good as Virgin UC.

If you have specific questions then I will do my best to answer them for you. :)

I hated this feature of Club world. I couldn't believe you have to climb over the person behind you to get out of your seat (not so bad if it's the person your next to but behind! :sad2: ) So much worse on a night flight if they are in the flat bed position, sleeping! Such a bad design!

Have to agree with that. The seats in UC are better than the ones in Club World. I did think the food with the BA Club World was better than on Virgin UC.

Flew BA world traveller plus last year after having several trips with Virgin. To be honest it was not worth the extra with BA, it is nowhere near as good as the Virgin PE. If I was going BA again it would be either Club or economy depending on prices.

I think the general concensus is BA Club is beats Virgin UC, but Virgin win hands down on PE. I know not everyone shares the same views, but that's how we would spend our money. We fly to Tampa and BA is the only direct option, but we would sooner save ££££ and fly economy than pay the extra for PE. And with a 2 yr old, Club is just not an option
