Looking to surprise wife/kids, with a sort of last min holiday in August 2015, we are looking at 2016, but I know they cant wait that long.
I have found a deal with British Airways staying at ALL STAR MOVIES.
We have always flown direct with Virgin/ British Airways planes, but the price seems out of our budget, at this short notice.

Anyone done American Airlines via Dallas, as the lay over time is very short on the way back
Arrive Dallas 21.09, leave Dallas for Heathrow at 22.15 ( 1hr 6 mins )

Seems a bit short to me, can we check in bags all the way through from Orlando
DO we go thru security / check in at Dallas, or straight to the gate ?

Thanks for any replies..

Dave.

We once went via Dallas due to the ash cloud, although we did Orlando~Dallas~Charles De Gaulle~Heathrow.
Its not a route I would do unless the price was very low, Dallas is quite a long way west of Orlando, approx. 1,000 miles and almost 3 hours flying. So you are far better going via an Eastern airport like Atlanta, Philly, Washington or New York etc.

As for 1hr 6mins, I would accept that, your luggage would be checked thru to final airport so its just a matter of changing planes.

Thanks Wayneg, hadn't looked at the map, 1000miles west, yeh seems like a bit of a round about way to get back

That's not the greatest routing, but you'll get some extra frequent flyer miles. The transit time is fine. Yes, your bags will be checked through to LHR.
