Has anyone flown from Toronto to Orlando with Air Transat lately. Do they cancel or alter their flights frequently and how is their service?

The only time my parents and I flew Air Transat from Toronto - Orlando our flight was changed and it was not for the good. I remember at 1st it was a direct flight from Toronto - Orlando that left in the afternoon, however our travel agent told us when we picked up our tickets the flight would 1st be stopping at St. Petersburg/Clearwater International Airport, where only only 5% off people were going to and the other 95% were going to Orlando. Well we were not happy about it and we thought it was un fair since most of the passengers were going to Orlando, the plane should have went there 1st. Not to mention we had a half hour layover in St. Petersburg/Clearwater International Airport, so it meant getting to Orlando a lot later then we wanted to. However we could not change our flight to another Airline so we had no choice to keep it.

Fly out of Buffalo and you will save a bundle of cash compared to flying out of Pearson with any airline. Would have been $2900CAN from Pearson last year for 5 tickets and we paid $545.00US from Buffalo for non-stop flights to Orlando.

We flew Air Transat to Orlando last February and had absolutely no issues. They even fed us!!!

I'm on the fence about Air Transat. We've had good flights and bad. The bad have been very bad. Our last flight with them, last year, we waited in the check in line for 45 minutes and by the time we got to the counter they didn't even have 2 seats left together. I was travelling with my 2 kids. My older DD was 15 so it was not really a problem but my youngest was only 6. That was problem. They were completely unwilling to even try to change some seats to accomodate a child and on top of that the staff was rude about.

I have flown with them about 15 times and have never had an issue with schedules being changed or anything like that. Every problem has had to do with their staff or procedures.

If Buffalo is an option it is a far better way to go. The prices are MUCH, MUCH lower than the prices from YYZ and the park and fly is easier and cheaper. Also, the airport itself in Buffalo is very simple to get through.
